FS: FP hybrid turbo in TXIC
OK, all this talk of the VF30 and 35, ...an dnow i'm spraying nitrous too, I think I need a bigger turbo. I'd let to let go of my FP turbo for $500 (no core required). Free delivery in Houston, ...maybe SA, Austin and Dallas as well...

don't be upset because you actually bought that crappy turbo.the least you could do is sell it for what it is worth.

I ran 12s with that crappy turbo on a conservative boost curve long before any of the hotshot VF30 owners with their hotshot front mount inercoolers here ever could.
also won a lot of autocrosses with it. whats crappy about that? Quote:

it's basically a stock turbo with some work, no big deal..........fp sells it for 595 brand new.
it's not hard to get into the 12's...in fact, some punk kid in san marcos was running 12's with just a vf23 and boost controller......though, i wold not recommend doing what he did. why not buy a much better turbo for just a little bit more? |

yeah, basically they are taking your stock turbo and clipping the compressor wheel and adding a larger turbine wheel......over rated and over priced.

Ive seen it. The intake side is bored out bigtime, with a totally new impeller, the turbine is clipped. if you look at dyno graphs, you see the performance is almost as good as a VF30, for a few hundred less. I don't see how that equates to 'crap' |

they are just the same ole thing with slightly bigger housings and different wheels in there. you save a little money by just boring out the housing you already have. |

Oh that's it? They completley re-worked the turbo and it's a GREAT deal. What do you think your getting with any other turbo? Larger compressor's and turbines..... |
