Question Trunk hole plugs?

Hi people,

I'm about to pick up my STi this weekend and I got a question about trunk hole plugs. Does anyone know where to get them?

I saw them used by STi&LT1 for his WRB STi. My STI is white and I'm planning to put on the regular WRX wing but I still want to keep the STi wing for the track. I need plugs for the holes.

I would appreciate any help from fellow STi owners.

Thanks.

W

Keep in mind that if the plugs are removeable, they will leak. It took me about 5 or 6 rainshowers before I got my totally sealed. The plugs are just interior fastners, christmas tree type. Just go to the parts counter and ask for a christmas tree interior fastner. Then take them to the body shop and them painted.

Here's my 2 cents worth...I had the exact same plan, purchased the WRX spoiler the same time as my STi, planning to change it. BUT, the more I drive it, the more the huge a$$ spoiler is growing on me. My informal survey is something like 10-1 for keeping it.

If you insist on downsizing, my plan was to use stainless steel button head bolts with small o-rings to seal the holes. Either leave them stainless (cool aftermarket look, mostly hidden anyways) or paint them with the touch up paint of the car.

FWIW, my WRX spoiler is still sitting on the shelf. I would wait to purchase it, it will always be available...

ENJOY!!

Heh, that's an interesting idea. How about using lighted button head bolts!!!
