What does tech involve? Particularly battery tie down and clutch safety switch err lack of rather. I can start my car without engaging clutch :\ The battery is relocated in the back if it makes any difference, as far as not having a tie-down.

I'll will be going out "early" that morning.

My car will be together but not broken in so if I don't secure a car to run that day I will be there to support.

Either way I'm going to be there.

the battery must be secure and tied down, so make sure it is or you won't pass. as for the clutch safety I don't know.

In response to the gas question in Whittier it has been cofirmed that they too, like most other cities have a 24 hour gas pump with premium (if you can really call it that).

As a vendor and vice-president of SZM, I will have refilled Torco 32 oz bottles for sale should anyone need it.

Hope to see many of you out there. We will be heading out Saturday and taking advantage of the discounted hotel rates to have an evening of fun and relaxation before the event.

Unfortunately no. Our insurance would not cover the actual ROAD race so we have to look into it further for other insurance options. We're hoping maybe next year.

We also hope to get together with the other Motorsports groups including SCCA, PCA, ASCC, etc so we can come up with the 2010 schedule. there should be no real reason to have competing events on the same days. We'd really like to avoid that as many members and racers want to participate in more than one type or multiple club events. SZM's goal is not to compete or replace any club, but to work with the existing clubs to provide more venues for our short season in AK.

The answer is "NO" there is no dirt or gravel, this course is on pavement.

Having been at all planning meetings I can tell you that no off road or gravel courses have been discussed at Whittier. Perhaps you have this confused with Rally Cross through SCCA.

If you are interested in learning more about this event plan to come to the Thursday meeting at the Peanut Farm, in the mean time feel free to pm myself, Hope or Jammer with any questions.

Per Phil, as long as you do not leave your key in the car between runs or when it is unattended, it should not be an issue.
