DIY Sunroof Delete
Cost: $150
Weight savings: Approx 40lbs from the top of the car Materials used: Junkyard roof panel, Norton Speedgrip Structural Adhesive (Similar to Fuzor), a bunch of zip disks and sanding wheels, primer and paint.

Nice Idea, however I think there would be more structural interity with keeping the hood the way it is from the factory. Plus, I bought my car with a sunroof for a reason....cruisin through back roads!

Yeah, roof skins offer no structural safety bearing on the car.

Hmm, I'm contemplating doing this now. I like having a moonroof, but I really dig the RA roof vents, which look dumb with a moonroof.
Upon further thought, I think I posted this same thing on your rs25 thread. :P |
