Need to study-up
Use these:
http://www.1010tires.com/wheeloffsetcalculator.asp http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp http://www.rx7.org/Robinette/tire_diameter.htm Try and avoid spacers. Any significant spacer would require longer wheel studs. You need full thread contact of the lug nuts! When you get to a realistic offset (like 40-55), you may find someone who has used the specific rim you are interested in and they may know if it will clear the calipers. Don't hesitate to call the wheel seller or manufacturer and ask if they will clear the Brembos. Some have drawings you can print out and cut out that will show you clearly, in a visual manner, how the wheel will fit. Last edited by Scargod; 01-09-2019 at 06:53 AM. |

I have a question. I know that ypu can't run staggered wheels on awd, but would it be bad say if I was running 18x8 and 18x9 both +35 (on a 2001 Forester L) and use 225/40 r18 on all 4? The amount of tire that would contact the ground the same but I just want to get some insight.

Hey guys. Need some direction with the new 6pot brembo brakes on the 18 STi I bought a set of wheels from a 2014 STi (17") and they don't clear... does this mean we need to run 18" tires for winter!?

So do the +30 Offset, just needs a slight roll in the rear.

I have a 09 sti hatch, I have a local shop that can get me good deals on enkei wheels so that's the brand I'll be going with. I think the nt03's are at the top of my list at the moment but if you guys recommend another enkei rim I'd love to hear your suggestions. I'm not looking to do any fender modifications and at the moment I have all stock suspension but in the future I'll be running RCE yellows. I'm looking to stay with 18" rims and my Michelin as3+'s at 245 width. So with that being said what width and offset do you guys recommend to achieve a flush-ish fitment without any rubbing issues. I don't need to go super aggressive just wanting a better look and better performance. I'll also be going with ARP extended wheel studs and open ended lugs for overall safety. Any info, ideas, expierence, and photos you guys can provide would be outstanding. Thanks again for the support. I'll include a pic of the car at the moment with 2018 wrx limited wheels and 5mm spacers up front (not comfortable running spacers even tho I've had no issues)

Mine are rolled, pulled, cut, etc. These are 10.5 inch width with 35 offset. I have to run 5mm spacers on the front or my 285 X 30 Hoosiers will rub the coilovers @ 3.2° -camber. I would not be concerned about modest thickness wheel spacers. What about a 255 X 35 size? I run a Pilot Super Sport 245/40ZR18 as a rain tire on the car... and am often one of the fastest on the track when wet. Softer than your tires. |

@scargod I gotta say those rims look mean yet classy. I'll definitely be looking into them. I just got these tires for all season basically and they're pretty good for daily driving. Im not wanting to track the car at the moment. Nor do I want to do any fender mods at this time...im just trying to find that 'sweet' spot with width and offset.

Trying to find information on the 2018 sti wheel and tire fitment for winter. Anyone already have their winter setup yet? What are you running?

I put OEM tire size all seasons on my stock 19s and got 19" Volks from another member in the classified. The way i looked at it, the gap between wheel and fender looks horrible without lowering the car. Coilovers or lowering springs would look sweet but warranty. Therefore I bought, got crazy lucky, a set of light 19s (Volk G12). The setup looks pretty good without lowering and I'm still OEM wheel and tire size. |

Hey guys. I have a 13 sti and am looking into getting some rs05rr's. I want 18x9 +35. Fenders are already rolled. Does anyone have any experience with this size set up? I currently have 20mm spacers all around and the stocks sit pretty much flush with the fenders. I'm looking for the same "flushness"

Enkei RS05-RR, 18" X 10.5" +35ET. Run fronts with 5mm spacers. I am running -3.5° camber. Tires would rub the coilovers without the spacers. YMMV! You will have to figure out strut spring diameter vs my 2.5" dia. coilover springs. Note: front fenders have no lip and are stretched a bit to make everything clear. I am running 285 DOT radial slicks and coilovers. Rears are fine with just rolling. I'd say you cannot stuff anything bigger in there without flares. From this data and a good tire calculator you should be able to figure it out. You don't mention tires... |
