I scream like a little schoolgirl whenenver I see it (saw it a few days back too). ungh. meant to add this...this is our car thus far Last edited by zeoalex; 04-06-2013 at 06:54 PM. |

Looks like yes. Apparently it's across from the Thai place. We could all meet in a lot and cruise over together

as far as I know yes...Lets meet in section 3 of A lot on UNH's campus...I have a crappy bright blue 98 wagon. We'll cruise downtown to the new bar and check it out. Lets plan on 7? (or 7:30? we can do a bit later, but I need to leave at like 9)

Very nice - I may not be able to make this one as looming deadlines will keep me out of town til later. I live about 10mins from A Lot & am in Portsmouth every week so I'll definitely be able to make it sometime. Looking forward to talking shop! If you see the silver 92x with peeling paint on the roof & black Rally Armor's throw a wave. If I don't wave back I'm prob messing with something & not paying attention...

Were you able to get a few people together last night? Hopefully the nicer weather will be here soon...
Was just looking through the thread here and saw mention of a Redhook meet at one point - that would be cool. Also, is the race car yours? What are you running for a motor in it? Looks like a bike or quad motor in the pic. |

Ended up just being two of us, which was fine hah
I could be game for red hook at some point...if people wanted to go Saturday around noon I could flex. I have a few buddies coming down for my birthday (Friday)who love cars... and beer (one drives a nice audi 90) The race car isn't really mine... I'm building it as my senior project with a team of like 15 people... I'm on the aerodynamics group on it, it's running a YFZ-450R race quad engine, single cylinder, with a 20mm restrictor we're shooting for 40-50bhp. It's got decent power considering it weighs like 400lbs |

Luv those old Audi 90's - cool little cars.
I've got a handful of quads. Slowly rebuilding a couple old LT250r's at the moment. They're my first 2-stroke projects. Gonna need to finish one up & sell it soon to fund all the maintenance on the 92x! Just over 100 k on it now & time to perform all the major services...expensive! |

yeah, his is real nice...if you're free saturday i'd totally be game to do redhook. the tours are a buck and you get beer! hah
yeah, I've never really done much with quads, but they're fun. This is our first year with this engine...we ran a GXSR-600 engine for a while, but it's HEAVY and super tall. By switching to this engine we dropped 60lbs in the block alone (not considering all the different intake and exhaust pipes, the now smaller intake plenum, etc.)It also lowers the CoG of the car significantly. And since we use a 20mm restricter per com rules, we don't lose too much power. What do you have to do? What have you done to it? 100k is nothing! call me when you hit 200k! (although my car isn't in the best condition...) |

Definitely familiar with the Redhook tours! I'll be working this Saturday, though.
Will you guys be getting any videos of the car going at any point? That would be neat to see. For maintenance on my car, here's the list I'm looking to tackle this summer: - Essential: Timing belt and pulleys (prob water pump too while in there) - Essential: Valve cover gasket and/or AVCS line and/or turbo oil return line (one of these is leaking oil and I get the well known 'burnt oil smell' through the pass side floor vent.) - Needed: Struts - just trying to track down some stock/oem inserts but they're hard to find and everything is expensive. New top hats too - Optional: motor mounts, shifter bushings, ball joints, steering rack bushings Plus, I burnt through my summer tires last year thinking I'd be hooked up with new ones by now but no such luck. Basically I want to keep this thing on the road and running good for a long time. I still haven't tired of it and love to drive it! |
