You know when you had fun a a road course when you get off the track and this what I had happen after my first run.

My front pads where smoking because the grease you put between the pads and sliders is now black as toast.

My lug nuts that where at 80lbs got loose to 70lbs

My front tires that started at 40psi where at 50psi after a cool down lap and sitting for 10min

My front rims where so hot I could not touch them.

My tires where so hot I was shocked. They felt almost like slicks they got so warm and soft.

I had to wear gloves just to be able to take the cap off my tire valve stem.

I had to wear gloves just to to let air out of my tires because the air so hot.

When your on the track doing around 80mph about 1-2 car lenths off the bumper of the car in front of you and the only thing you instructors says to you make sure to follow your line and not theirs.

Ya I had them on my Z06 and loved them. Which is why im going back... does tire pressure change that much with nitrogen? Its not supposed to right?

Correctish, the water in the compressed air heats and expand, nitrogen has no water vapor.

Any gas expands with heat. But nitrogen is more stable and consistant. I would love to use it. But having to carry around a nitrogen tank with me when ever I go to the track would stuck.

Why'd you let air out of your tires?

Depending on the track, weather, and temp I have to add or remove air from my tires to prevent roll over on them and to get the best traction I can.

It's not like it couldn't "withstand" it as much as it held traction to that point. It wasn't like if they didn't run those tires they would spontaneously explode or roll of the bead lol.

Which ones? BF Goodrich's current claim to fame is getting a 1G skidpad on a street tire, no small feat for sure, but I'll stick to Bridgestone and Dunlop with my cash

Hope everyone had a great 4th! I'm hatching up plans for a little cruise up to Grand Haven, MI on Aug. 6th for the Coast Guard Festival if anyone wants to see the craziest fireworks in the midwest.

The W.T. neighbors are setting off the biggest freakin fireworks basically in our front yard. When this **** goes off the house shakes. I don't foresee getting much sleep tonight. they better not blow up my car.

Bolt a 2.5 to a 2.0. Then when you blow a ringland on the 2.5 you can have a 2.0 to last you a few days till it spins a bearing.
