Recently I was told the apexi n1 coils are great and are a little above 1k. They sell them on rallysportdirect. My greddy type s are great but I'm not happy with greddys customer service |

Whoa whoa whoa, which "fad" are we talking about lol. Lowering or "stanceing" "hellaflush" "hardparked" (i hate using those terms) or whatever has been done for awhile now. I like driving low and i care more about wheel fitment and the looks of my car than speed but i still respect those guys who have cars that are engine built and can put down a lot of power.

So then where's a happy medium? Like in the spring ill be buying a set of coils but still don't know what ones. It's a daily and i really would just like to lower it a good amount but still have a decent ride for the commutes. What to you guys recommend? I don't wanna get crap but I don't wanna be throwing down thousands for top of the line

A friend and fellow member did the work for me. It was a combination of the top half of the forester bumper and the bottom half of the impreza bumper. He made it look simple but I can only imagine the number of hours he spent on filling and shaping the area.

I picked up a set of fortune autos and will be throwing them on come spring. A friend of mine has a set and LOVES them. Very well rated and very competitively priced with lots of options.
Great mid range ban for buck. |

FWIW, I'm quite happy with my BC coils. It's not a cushy plush ride, but I was willing to sacrifice some comfort to accomplish my aesthetic goals. It's stiff, but not kidney punishing, but that's by choice (I run them at like 18 clicks for damping). The Megan, BC, and ISC coils all have solid warranties or rebuild programs if you have any issues.

I had a buddy running racelands, with no problems, but then again they are the cheapest thing on the market. They also were very bouncing an non dampening adjustable. My .02 cents on those is don't get them. I'm on BC's and love them. I'm also 23 and not 52, so a little rough, raw ride, doesn't bother me. I honestly like it. Makes the car feel planted and not floating. Last edited by rymaggi; 01-29-2013 at 01:41 PM. |

I should add that disclaimer that I'm also in my mid 20s. If I wanted a comfortable car, I would have bought something different.
