Here's a quick and very simple clip showing that the Nameless magnaflow catback isn't a slouch when paired with a downpipe, sounds great to me. I probably should have moved the camera further back; this video makes it sound louder than I hear it in the driver's seat.

Cool, this is what I am changing to! Have a cnt catted Downpipe.

Does the axle back mate to the OEM midpipe without any adapters?

Looks like you have the nameless mid pipe so never mind.

Have a Nice Day?

I wish there were more vids of the Blitz Nur Spec R for the 2011+ WRX hatch. I can't decide between that and the COBB

Yea, sorry. I am pretty sure Nameless's policy/approach to exhaust design is that everything should be modular. Meaning that if you want the stock midpipe to fit with their axleback, they will give you the right gasket, hardware and possibly a different flange as well. Later on, if you want to add their midpipe, their design should allow for that as well.

I know that is the case for the midpipe to downpipe interface. I first ran just their catback, then switched to an Invidia downpipe and it still worked due to the floating flange they use on their midpipe.

pkluong and community,

I just took these clips this morning of the SPT exhaust (sedan) with catted Cobb DP. It is best heard with ear phones rather than on a cell phone or computer speakers IMO. Hope the links work. Let me know if you have any questions via PM. Thanks.

Turbo XS Sedan Quad Tip with CNT catted downpipe
3, 4 and 5k Revs

The tips stuck out a little more on one side. Nothing major though. Might bother you if you're really OCD

Anyone know of any videos of a 2011 wrx sedan with Invidia q300 that is before n after with stock downpipe vs aftermarket?

If not, anyone know how much louder it is? I hear its just deeper, and not much louder?

Oh - I am OCD...bought the TurboXS CBE and the tips on my hatch are crooked by about 1/4". It drives me crazy. Not sure how to make them straight, as the muffler does not sit exactly straight on the donut connection. I have tried everything.

Maybe some different hangers?

For a sedan or hatchback? I've noticed a different note in the sedans that is a bit more subdued than the hatchback. I have a hatchback

I'll throw in my 2 cents: SPT catback vs. Nameless magnaflow axleback - both for 2012 hatch. Nevermind my grammar - this is a quick post.

I had the SPT on with a Stage 1 tune and stock downpipe. The rumble was great. Really deep. Drone was moderate at highway speeds. Boom was significant at cold starts and low RPMs. When I added a catted DP, the highway drone became too much, so I started looking elsewhere.

Ended up selling the SPT and picked up a used Nameless axleback with the magnaflow muffler. I am currently running that with the stock mid-pipe and CNT cattted DP. The Nameless is definitely more mellow than the SPT. It doesn't have that sweet deep rumble of the SPT, but its a trade-off I'm willing to make for much quieter highway driving. Drone is much less on the highway. The exhaust still booms in lower RPMs but that's ok with me - I like it around town.

In summary: I added a catted DP and the SPT became too loud on the highway. Sold it for a Nameless magnaflow axleback. I am happy with the Nameless, since its much quieter on the highway, but still sounds mean when I get on it.

Insulate your hatch and you will have 75% less drone. Worth it for sure
