has anyone seen turboxs 11.9 sec 115 mph
Time for their stage 4 utec plus intercooler kit? Anyone know if this was on pump gas and how much boost they were running? Also the dyno printout shows 376 hp compared to 168 hp stock. This can't be a whp number, can it? Thnx.

Yes, Phil ran that time a while back.
I'm not exactly sure how much boost he was running but he was using I beleive a 50 shot of NOS with the Stage 4 setup. I think his best was 12.4 off the juice. |

Thanks for the compliments.
That run was made with about 21PSI sustained, tuned on c16 race fuel, and a Nitrous Express 50 shot. I actually ran out of nitrous at the end of the track so I'm anxious to go back soon with this nice cool air. The best I've run off nitrous was a 12.4 @ 109.9. We dynoed that combination at about 300HP to the wheels. Since adding the TXS TMI we are now running 335HP at the wheels off nitrous but haven't had a chance to run without the nitrous in this state. These are the same parts you can purchase, just a UTEC STG4TMI, Nitrous Express kit, ACT Clutch and an HPBC Thanks, Phil TurboXS |

Phil- re: 335 whp.
Thnx for your reply. At what boost and gas octane was this achieved? If this was done on pump gas, this is the kit for me. Have you run the 1/4 with 335 whp sans nitrous yet? Thnx in advance.

Hey nice whp Phil, I'll need a re-tune with 800cc injectors and upcoming front mount. I had a similar time w/o nitrous on 100 octane. 12.40 @ 113.8 on a fried clutch, got the clutch in now... just need to get back to the track and run the C16. I'm looking to put a few more goodies in. Running on the street w/ the C16... on a roll I spin the wheels insane!

Odin,
C16 is 116 octane leaded race fuel which is what we use for all race programs. Pump gas with the same combination will net only about 300 wheel hp max. I have not run this combination without nitrous yet but I would think a 12.2 @ 112 is likely. To achieve this level of power on pump gas would require a much larger turbocharger which has some downsides. Thanks, Phil TurboXS |

The track I ran at was between 500-1000ft but in any event, I don't think it makes much of a difference. My trap speed was down because I ran out of nitrous and ended up running too rich as a result. My egts had only peaked at 810C when I normally race at 900C.
In any event, the highest I've trapped is 117 on the same setup and a full interior but I haven't been able to putt the whole run together for a better time. Seems to be the story for most of us. I was running stock wheels and tires for that run. The best I have run with 18" wheels and a full body kit is [email protected]. Thanks, Phil TurboXS |
