Weekly San Tan meet
Quite a few of us out here now, so I guess this is the "Official" Queen Creek/Gilbert Meet thread
Thursdays in SanTan Village Meet will commence in the parking lot of In n Out Burger on the North West corner of Gilbert and Germann between 7:00 and 11:00 pm (some stay later some leave earlier, this is just the time most are there). The address is below for the navigation/google maps junkies 2910 E Germann Rd Chandler, AZ Meet area shown below http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...h&z=16&iwloc=A OK, now for a few common sense "rules": We like our meet, and we get no problems from law enforcement nor rent a cop security, and we want to keep it that way. Following a simple code of conduct should do just that. First, this is not the set of the fast and the furious. Free revving your car is not neccessary, nor does anyone other than you think its cool. Please refrain from doing this outside of your own (closed) garage. We dont want the Subaru crew to get the ricer label like the Honda crew do we? Second, parking lots have drawn out spaces for a reason. This reason is not to drive through them topping out third gear. There are pedestrians and other motorists who may not be looking for you to be speeding through the parking lot the wrong way. The last thing we need is someone to smash into an innocent person. If you want to open it up a little, we all like hearing exhaust/wastegates/turbo spool, but please do so on the roads or areas designated for driving not parking. Third, as impressed as we all are with your uber-cool subwoofers and rattling, please kick it down a notch. Again, we dont want to be looked at as hooligans or cause excessive noise. Its nice for the mall security and police to roll by to check out cars, but not so nice when they are coming over because we are causing a disturbance. Fourth, this one hasnt been an issue yet but while we are on a roll might as well grab it. The parking lots are not a trash can. If you have trash, keep it in your car and throw it away when we leave. Again, we do not want to draw unwanted attention nor piss off the mall and get kicked out. If you are not bringing your momma along to pick up after you, please do it yourself. Fifth, and final. Use your head. If it seems like you shouldnt do it, dont. Burnouts in In in Out's parking lot (obviously this one wasnt a Suby), cutting people off, etc. should be held to a minimum. We are here to have a good time, not deal with ignorant behavior. What you do on outside of the meet is up to you, but when you are with the group you represent us all. If anyone can think of anything else, let me know and I will add it.

I am down with whatever as long as its close, but that would be up to majority rule. I think most of us out here would rather keep it close so we can toss down some beverages after food though

Depends on where you are coming from. I am not sure of the road that the Sonic is on, but its next to Wal-Mart, I think on Hunt Highway

Pretty close I believe. I am not in that area of Queen Creek all that often, but I do think I have been to the BK there as well.

Let's do it at my house. I'm too lazy to go anywhere LOL. Just kidding - you guys will drink all my beer.
Maybe we should see where everyone who wants to do this lives and find a central location from there. I'm down for once a month most likely. I get way too busy for once a week. |

I would do a QC meet. I live about 1/4 mile from the Sonic. My brother is out here also and would come out. It would be nice to get out and meet some more subie peeps now that I am back on days.

^^^ +1 to that SanTan Village Mall. Then we can drive to get a drink or something. Plus the group drive to Queen Creek for a drink is interesting to me.

yeah i live at power and queen creek, but just figured that its a "busier" area out this way, and can be relatively convenient for people to get to (even those who are willing to make the drive from chandler, tempe or wherever they're coming from)

Yes, there are huge parking lots there, mall, costco is near, lots of junk food around, and plus there is a park nearby with man made lake, filled with goose, artificial plants (i think) that we can use in the future for picture taking purpose
