Default brain teaser

I have an '02 WRX with 58k tough miles on it, track days, one lap of america, new england winters etc.... The brain teaser is that to drive straight sometimes you have to hold the steering wheel off to the left a little (less than 10 degrees, just enough to be annoying) and sometimes you have to hold it dead level. The car will stay straight if you let go of the wheel once it is going straight. Also, no clunks, squeels or other suspension type noises are noticable. Any ideas...? I'm thinking loose steering rack or a strut that sticks and throws the alignment off sometimes. Any advice or ideas on what and how to test would be appreciated.

-Bill

P.S. Suspension mods are Cusco sway bars front and back and a front strut tower brace (all less than a year old).

Memory steer due to the steering rack bushings. Some have replaced the bushings with aftermarket units and eliminated the memory steer.

What he said. Replaced your steering rack bushings with the hardened whiteline ones.
