How much for a custom mid-pipe?
How much should I plan to pay for a custom mid-pipe?
And if anyone knows how much it is to change hangers, that'd be good to know, too. -Matt

probably around $100.00
best bet is to try and find a mom and pop type muffler shop, usually cheaper that way. Jay |

Would they do a good enough job? Is making a mid-pipe and hangers something really simple? I just don't want them to screw up a $400 muffler.
Also, if I want to eventually go catless.. would it be better to have a longer mid-pipe or another free flowing pipe from the headers to the mid-pipe? -Matt |

Just make sure they use mandrel bends and tig welds. You should be good to go.
As far as going catless, I'd go with two seperate pipes in case you end up going turbo and eliminate the cat section... |

The price all depends on how big you want to go, what kind of materials, and what kind of bends. I am getting my race shop to heat wrap my brullen header, do some custom porting on the flanges and make me a custom 2.5" catless midpipe. I'll let you know what kind of price I get tomorrow.

The other reason I say mom and pop type shop, is they usually have old schoolers working there, who have been around for awhile and really know how to weld well, and make custom pipes.
