So i've had a hard time finding a catback that doesn't suck. And by suck, I mean childishly loud. Since switching to ELH, the Q300 was just unbearably raspy. I have since went back to the stock catback - making about ~350whp from a maxed out 16g.
Based on discussions on iwsti the best bet seemed to by Milltek which very few people run, or have ever heard of in the Subaru community. The point of contact for Miltek was extremely useless, and represented just how the company operates with no interest into expanding into markets. Especially when a modification is as simple as chaining exhaust tips. Quite literally a group buy would offset R&D of a different exhaust tip. An they could provide an exhaust for the 08-10 wrx crowd, and 09-14 FXT crowd. For your reading pleasure. Quote:

Or perhaps you don't understand their position...
They don't supply direct. They would need a UK based dev vehicle (sounds like they are physically in the UK) And lastly, they haven't seen remotely enough interest to them for them to make the system you want. You said yourself, practically nobody runs them and nobody around here has heard of them. To the start of your research, I'm very surprised the Q300 is raspy simply because of ELH's. Are you cat-less also? |

Plenty well organized group buys do business with these types of companies. The pure apprehension of this company to refuse to even GAUGE interest is astonishing. Lachute, Xforce, ultimate racing for example also are located out of the US but were able to market to USDM. But hey end of the day if they really are as big of an OEM seller as they claim to be. Maybe a group buy would have been chump change to them. Just seems odd that the JDM 2.0 s-gt hatch is the only car out of the 08-10 3rd gen run that was worth any R&D. As it was quite literally only made from 2007-2008 before it became the 2008+ 2.5 GT. |

^ ^ ^ sometimes I wish I had the bigger spoiler, but no luck in trunk swap forums... Sadly if you buy one from Subaru, the holes won't align with our current small spoilers. Bad marketing move there FHI -____-
I do love the look of the narrow bodied, big winged sedans... |

I was lucky enough to find a fellow with a new '11 STi that was willing to try out the wrx style spoiler and was close enough I drove to his place and we just swapped them right over. |

Narrow body doesn't have enough aggressive features and body lines to compliment any type of spoiler.
I find being scoopless and wingless being the perfect combo. The 08-10 wrx is just a turbo grocery getter. Just embrace it guys! |

It'll be plain if you wish and make it be plain.
It doesn't have to be, as evidenced by many peoples rides in here. |

PNP HID kits into halogen housings, aggressive wheels yet stock calipers. Cheap BC BR coilovers or Fortune Auto. The list goes on for those faux-aggressive cars which you speak of.
Only few members that have/had an aggressive narrow body. And those were rather big budget projects to get to that aggressive realness. Its just silly wasting all this money and avoiding real mods that would make a visual aggressive difference and performance difference. Such as brembos, quality coilovers, and possibly power upgrades. |

I don't think you've been paying that close of attention.
I'm pretty certain there are a fair number of narrow bodies that look good and are on 'quality' upgrades. I didn't spend big money on mine (aside from a short block, but that's irrelevant to the point), and it's mostly performance mods and some performance/visual. The only one that is strictly visual is the STi wing. And I don't think my ride looks plain at all |

I think..if you have enough money to "snoby" about relativley good parts, perhaps you should have invested in a higher end car. Not a >30k "plain" one. Ive seen plenty of great looking narrows, with plenty of great parts. Perfect for daily driving.

The part I enjoy about not having an utterly exuberant ride, is that cops might not notice you as much. All my mods are hidden, I like a sleeper car....
I still do love the look of that wing though. |

^^ I agree also. I wasted months in the trunk swap thread. I just bit the bullet and got one from Subaru and everything was fine. Then took it off and went wingless. -_-

professionally done by my local auto body. I ordered the 2011 from subarugeniuneparts and had it installed and painted. No 3rd brake light beside the stock location in the window.
