Dang, you got trolled by your wife. Sounds like something my wife would do on purpose.

It's only a couple weeks man! I wanted to order a 2012 too but was told I couldn't, figured I plan on keeping the car for at least 6 years so what's a couple extra months. Once you get the car you forget all about the wait you had and realize it was worth it.

also, for anybody waiting, my car was ordered officially on 8/15. my first ETA was 10/15 and quickly improved to 10/8. A few of us Evanston 10/8 orders showed up early(5th), not mine. My order came in with one other car on the exact date of the improved ETA! (10/8 )
Ordered from...Grand...

Thank you for your email response. We are very sorry that a specific location for your order is not available. The order process is very detailed and involves many logistics including shipment from Japan. This process takes time and Impreza orders are taking between 12 and 16 weeks currently.
There is certainly an upside to your order specifically, your WRX has a vehicle identification number. This is not always the case when we have contacts inquiring about Impreza orders. While it is not "delivered" yet, it is in the ending stages. It looks like the beginning of November for an ETA. It could actually be earlier.
Again, we are very sorry that the process was longer than anticipated. We do appreciate your patience and are confident that you will enjoy your 2013 Subaru WRX.

This crap has been going on since June when i was told i couldnt order a 2012 and had to wait until the 2013 ordering opened up.
Ugh...
"Wait more."

EXACT same boat too. Walked into the dealership in June fully expecting to A) walk out with keys B) walk out with an order form...

I just spoke to Subaru...my base swp hatch, ordered on 8/15, has just had the ordered accepted...and by normal production and delivery times is slated for late Dec or Jan. BS I tell ya.

I ordered the same day, except my order was submitted the same day and I got a VON on 10/3. Elizabeth from SoA (who is a very friendly person to deal with) called me last night and told me that there has been no change in the order since it was placed, which is what I was expecting. The dealer says they expect a January ETA, but it seems that cars are coming in a month earlier than that, so I'm hoping for December! I saw a SWP WRX sedan on campus earlier, and it made waiting even harder...but I'm sure it will be worth it

Whoa...now that is definitely a little ridiculous. Are you sure the dealer submitted the order right away on 8/15?

Well my Eta was 10/18 then it changed to 10/15 and now it's changed again to 10/31, I called SOA yesterday and they told me that my car is on a train and headed my way and new Eta is 10/30. I hope it doesn't change again.

well, this noob just found out the only downside to leaving the car parked in gear after turning it off...

...forgetting to put it in neutral before turning the ignition. I think I just gave myself whiplash at 0 mph in a parking lot.

Well my car is in-hand. I told you guys with the 10/8 delivery they were coming! They are rolling in slowly! I would like to put a shoutout to great job from Glanzmann Subaru in Jenkintown, PA. They did a great job! Now time for the pic!

This. Except when I lived in Colorado and parked on steep incline/declines.

Just noticed this, but I am guessing on the lower corners of the rear doors the extra like small sheet of metal is suppose to be there for protection? In front of the rear wheels?

When I purchased my 2011 sti, it was 100% from japan. This time, the sheet says 95% japan and 5% other. Is that because I had the spt exhaust option?
