Default 05 Impreza N/A 2.5

I guess this could be a stupid question but, Using Learning View would the IAM have the same affect on the 05 Impreza 2.5 n/a as it would on say my 07 LGT 2.5Turbo?

I ask this because I've been fighting a knock issue on this Impreza for a LONG time now and I just don't know where to go next. If I reset the ECU and set the IAM start at 1.0 in the config, as soon as I make a WOT pull it will drop down to 0.000 and maybe work back up to .250 or .3750. I have NO idea whats causing it to drop like a rock because its not like the knock counter was rolling over continuously... Yes the car has knock on a shift, and maybe a few counts when leaving a stop or something like that, Or heavy load going up a hill at 2200 RPM... All of these I assumed were expected but I just can't figure out why the IAM is dropping like a rock. I've played with the fueling tables because these are just nuts with 14.7 for all load levels up to a min of 4200 RPM... But that didn't seem to make any difference either. I also disabled the Closed loop to open loop timer with the richer fuel tables and that also didn't help any. In the learning view snapshot though there is NO knock correction listed yet it's showing a .250 IAM when it started at 1.0

For some history, it has 184k on it, Timing belt was replaced at 100k, plugs and wires done at 160k, Also had the injectors cleaned around then and replaced one due to it being bad, Replaced the cats due to a low power syndrome and after punching the stock ones out power came back so I assumed it was clogged cats... Overall though it's a 100% stock setup.

Any input will be greatly appreciated
