Nah I haven't tried that yet. Everybody says it pisses the dealer off, but if I don't get an update this week I'll probably call.

Since we went to the same dealer, how did they treat you with the price? Did they tell you the same thing that we'd do all the "paperwork" once the car gets in, or were you able to get your numbers in writing and signed on the day of your order? I just want to see if they do that with everybody or if they're planning on pulling a fast one on me. I had verbal confirmation from them on the price, but we all know how good that can be...
They gave me an OTD price and they printed out a order sheet with the car and ordered options. I made sure they still agreed on the price they gave the previous day. They then made a copy of the page with the OTD price so when the car arrives I'm ready to go. They seem straight forward, thats why i went with them. And i did call SOA last friday, with still an ETA of december. SOA told me its fine to call and check up on orders, they just contact the dealer to let them know they talked to you.

Oh and we might both be getting tint and clear bra the same day. My first mod in addition to the nameless axelback thats on its way now

Congrats!

I stopped by my dealer today (I was bored), and got another update. Scheduled for 10/29, but hoping sooner.

My salesman made the wait even harder, by taking me for a drive in the CBS hatch they have on the lot. He put the hammer down harder than I did up to 3,800 rpm. Holy cow that thing is fast!

Hi Abanks, I placed my order on 8/25. Mine is waiting to be put on a train, then trucked to my dealer.

The wait has been long, but before we know it, we'll have our cars for a long time to come.

It was very pleasant. Evan is a cool guy. We chatted about dubstep for a bit. David talked me into the 6yr/60k Added Security and the Maintenance plan. I killed it pulling right out onto Oakton. Then, for some reason, my GPS routed me 94 east to 55 south to Joliet. Yea, I saw all the brake lights on 94, got way too scared and took Cicero all the way down. I had a CTA bus lay on his horn when I killed it twice at a light. I realized that I get nervous when someone is behind me and I engage the clutch too fast. When I'm all alone and I take my time it's like butter. Today, I had to reverse uphill into a parking spot. That only took like 5 minutes.

This has been something I've obsessed over for about 8 years and finally signing all the paperwork was a surreal experience. I can't thank everyone at Evanston enough, you most of all Mike.

Finally, here are the pictures I took today.

Don't worry guys, I'm not abandoning the thread. Keep the updates and pictures coming!

Maybe someone else can chime in too on my dumb question, but is it any cheaper getting tint/clear bra done through the dealer if they use a 3rd party installer? I'm guessing no, but I was wondering if their volume discount + upsell is less than if I call the shop directly.

I wanted to check out shades of grey in feasterville, and then Steve told me that's who they use for tint.

Don't want to rub salt in the wound for you guys fighting the good fight in here, but I seem to have cheated the system.

Placed my order on 9/12 and the car arrived on 9/28. Dealer told me he had never seen or heard of someone taking delivery so quickly. Guess I got extremely lucky. Drove it home on 9/30, and have been feeling like I stole someone else's car ever since.

Oh well.

That means they took a car that was already assembled and moved it to fill your order. It was probably going to a different dealer and they moved it.

I know I'm not voodeaux, but just to throw in my 2 cents... I ordered 9/13 and got the VON right away from my salesman, but don't have any new info on where the car is at in the process. Wishing I had a VIN like a lot of people seem to be getting, but not expecting anything too soon given that I ordered almost a month after ordering originally opened.

It's exactly seven weeks since I placed my order. Nav seems to be creating huge delays. Hopefully I get an ETA/VIN this week

I hope the truck comes in Monday morning. I have Monday off work! The only time I enjoy working for a school district.

And that's gonna be a sweet picture.

I'm guessing you have like no options on that Base Sedan? That's probably why. Lucky though. I'll have to endure a longer wait than most since I've got almost every option on my Limited.

You're in CO also, and you ordered Nav. Did you get an ETA/VIN already? Which dealer did you order with?

No I have not received a VIN number yet... My Dealership told me I would have a VIN sometime this week.

It is threw Subaru Dellenbah , in Fort Collins. my family and I have been Dellenbach customers for years. great customer service.

They told me I should have my STi by mid-November .

The dealin's done, and my Limited DGM WRX is in the garage.

April...that's how long I've waited. APRIL.

Worth it? Of course.
