exactly. if i was in a serious relationship then no. not-so-serious relationship? probably wouldn't hesitate.

i once dated a girl for ~six months and slept with 8 chicks in that time period that was probably not the most moral route to take

Qualify 'get away with it'.
What exactly does that mean?

It's important.

that was kinda my thought process too. i'm pretty sure i could manage to cheat on even the most overbearing woman, but if i cared about her a lot i would not be able to avoid the guilt... thus not "getting away with it".

BTW, i would argue that there are times where "cheating" is morally ok. if you and your partner could not have sexual relations for whatever reason (health or something) but the relationship was strong otherwise...

Why cheat. Dump and then go to the new person... cheating is so stupid.

I think women have a network that doesn't allow you to get away with anything. Which is why I don't even try. It's not worth getting 'Bobbitized,' which would definitely happen once she heard I'd cheated.

I would not do it because I would not want my husband to do it to me. I believe you should treat your SO with the same respect that you expect to be treated with. Why is that so rare in many relationships?
