Default Mach V Track Day 2012: Nov 3-4

It's the eighth annual Mach V Track Day! We're sponsoring another NASA HPDE weekend at Summit Point, WV. Mach V customers, friends, and fans will have a special paddock area where we can all hang out. We'll have some special goodies to give away.

The date: November 3-4, 2012.

There are groups for drivers of all experience levels, from advanced drivers, to rank novices. Anyone can drive. Note that this weekend is HPDE ONLY, no regular NASA race classes except Time Trials, so there will be more track time for HPDE. Racers, plan to come spectate! Or you can always do Time Trials.

Mach V Track Day pics from last year:

Registration is now open! Sign up quickly, because this event fills up fast. But if your class is full, don't despair -- PM me, and I can make some special stuff happen.

(Click the link above to register. Put "Mach V 2012" in the Comments field to let NASA know you're with us.)

More NASA info about the event HERE.

I see that the Hyperdrive is listed as Saturday AM...any idea of the time? I looked for a more precise schedule but may have missed it.

Edit...I suck.

Hmmm... Might be in. How does NASA work the run groups for folks that haven't run with them? I think the last time I did a NASA event was 6 or 7 years ago, if not longer.

You get to describe your track day experience on the entry form. If you haven't been out in a long time they might put you in the beginner group at first, then move you.

Event director checking in! Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year.

We do recognize equivalent experience, just email me (jfelton at drivenasa dot com) for advance clearance to sign up for a particular run group.

Also HUGE THANKS as always to Mach V for helping us make this event happen!

I will be there. Working on getting my car classed. If I don't get it classed I'll do a hpde 3 and get some classroom time. Can't miss cool fall weather at a home track !

I will be driving the BRZ. I wonder if Phil Grabow is going to be using those 285/30R18 Hoosiers that weekend?...

Looks like the Mach V BRZ will be on some 235/40R17 Star Specs. Those should do the trick.

Definitely good to see everyone, and meet some new people.

Enjoyed sharing that rib eye with Jon. Thanks Matt!

Hard to get more manly than standing at the track, smelling rubber and brakes, and eating a steak with your bare hands

I may come out and shoot that weekend. I'll know more as that weekend approaches, but it is wide open at the moment.

Hopefully, next year, I'll have the 5MT in the RS and can finally DRIVE a trackday. It has been a while.

We may open up some 1-day entries in HPDE2 and above... around a week prior if there are any spots left. This event has sold out in prior years so it's possible but not likely. Keep an eye on the website...

Hmm. What wheels/tires to run on the BRZ...stock? R-compounds? The wide-but-cheap Sumitomos that are on it now? Decisions, decisions...

I'll let you borrow a set of R-Comps...if you let me drive it for a session.
