i got tunes with similar mods on my '07. We used a utec and saw 315whp and 355tq if i recall. I posted my dyno in this section. I'm loving the utec. I was between that or ecutek. Dont know much about accessport.

i sat in my friends ride...His check engine light kept flashing and i would feel the car putter, but that was from the stock Ecu switching over to the utec. Do you get any of these that i mentioned? but the car was quick.

the flashing check engie light means he was knocking. when the stock ecu switchs to the utec you can onlt feel it if your at about 30***37; throttle but if he is actually pushing the gas pedal in then you cant feel the transition.

The way you should choose your EM is passed on future plans. i had a utec on my old subaru and i ordered one for my 07. but i wanted to have the extra maps b/c i plan on having a couple different fuel maps and meth maps. and the AP `couldnt offer that for my application

When the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT is flashing that means KNOCK/DETONATION which is a VERY BAD THING! I dont know who told him that BS about the CEL flickering means switch over LOL

A few UTEC facts

1. The hesitation when the UTEC crossover happens, CAN BE TUNED OUT. My 07 FXT doesnt have ANY hint of the hesitation, my 02 WRX didnt either. It took me a while, but my 05 STI, which had it REALLY bad at first, didnt have it.
2. A flashing CEL means knock. Period. If you see it flashing, open hyperterminal and FIX IT, or just keep driving an save for a new motor.

i must agree here, decision should definately be based on future plans. I'm running the UTEC in my car and i like all the extra maps available to me. but good thing about the AP is that you don't necessarily HAVE to have the car tuned, some of the maps already programmed on there will make the car run like a champ, w/ the UTEC you have to take it to get tuned every time you mod (atleast you should!)
