Default The one and ONLY twin charged Legacy!

"All" done and running!

GT30/GT32 equivilent feeding an Eaton M62 supercharger.....

I have a pinhole exhuast leak on the downpipe, I need to wrap the turbo with insulation, and one or two other odds and ends, but the damn thing is TITS!

So I just took it out and drove it up and down the freeway once....... about 8 low rpm pulls, never more than 4500 rpm...

First annoying problem...

Down pipe is too "long" and exhaust hits the most minor of speed bumps.... I will have to pull the downpipe off and cut about 1-2" out of it. I will fix that pinhole leak around the downpipe turbine side flange while I am at it...

Second annoying problem...

Seems to be ALOT of oil getting jizzed everywhere.. Since its night, and now I am home from the shop, I couldnt look for where it coming from, but I am pretty sure I need to install a different bango bolt into the block, or make an inline brass restrictor.

Third problem....

Not sure, havent driven it long enough... ;D

THE GOOD NEWS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

IT WORKS!

Its fast as ****

8 psi at 1500 rpm
11 psi at 2500 rpm
16 psi at 3500 rpm

16 psi stays rock steady....

Its fast as ****!

4 extra psi is alot!

And I still havent taken over 4500 rpm!

Its an easy 230-240 whp right now, and you can tell...

Now to fix those problems, and get a boost controller.....

And fab some sort of air filter!

wow, that's a nice setup. Is that on a stock ej22t? Is the turbo before or after the SC on the intake track?

Details man, details!

Very cool. Good to see people who actually do mods that require independent thought and ingenuity rather than just copying Bob next door. Think you'll get it dyno'ed?

Wow, that is just sweet. Oh, did I say that already? Amazing you have supercharged AND turbocharged your subaru and we can't even get aftermarket supercharger kits yet.

Cool project bump for you

cool, did you tune the pp6 yourself or are you having a shop do it? If it wasn't so glitchy with the later MAF cars, I would be using it instead of emanage...

Awesome project!

This may be a noobish question (really, how many of us have twin charged vehicles?)

Do you control the turbo wastegate from the differential between two or from the intake after the supercharger?

I just wondered how you would go about mapping and controlling the turbo with a supercharger that adds it's own psi to the mix? How you keep them balanced without fluctuations? (A seesaw effect if each has it's own separate control.)

The turbo wastegate is connected via vaccumn line after the supercharger. So it starts bleeding off at only 4-5 psi! For now.....

I believe that he did use one of those.

Doug, that is awesome. I preface everything I say about your car with 'This guy is crazy, but in a good way'.
