You speak the truth. Although most skittle drivers are bags of douche I still respect their cars and love seeing them on the road. Same for almost every other performance car out there.

What the hell is wrong with people? I wave to evo's all the time, and they wave back. Up here in Maine, you see an evo / wrx /sti, any AWD car with attitude, it's like "hey, sweet car, congrats on not driving a pickup or a minivan"

Behold, you have met a tool that shouldn't drive one of the most respected cars. The WRX, STi, and Evo are the type of cars that shouldn't have "fanboys".

I test drove an Evo X and 2010 WRX limited with every option possible back to back and the Recaro seats alone had me sold.

On topic: Was riding with a friend in is STi that is catless, untuned, and has a fire spitting problem at a light:
"Dude, do it again!"
"...What?"
"The fire thing!"
"Ohhh..."

I was the opposite. Test drove a 2011 Evo GSR and a 2011 STI hatch back to back. The interior and over all fit and finish of the Evo just didn't compare I don't really recall the seats being any more comfortable.

"That sucks how it's not a V6. I always thought it was a V6. The engine bay is big enough for one. Why won't they just drop in a V6?"

I did the same but with 2012s. The Evo seemed REALLY rough over the pothole-infested roads here in Edmonton. The STi was practically a Cadillac in comparison. The Evo was almost certainly faster, but it was also more money and the Recaro seats didn't really fit me that well (I can't even fit in the Recaros in an RX-8...). The harsher ride made my Subaru decision quite easy.

If it had been the other way around, I'd be driving a Mitsubishi right now. My last three cars were Volvos, but Volvo no longer makes anything that fit my needs... brand loyalty is almost always just stupidity.

Not so much a comment but what happened was hilarious. I'm pulling into the mall and stop for a guy crossing the street. He keeps staring at my car instead of looking ahead. The guy doesn't take his eyes off my car until he literally walks into another car. Ahahahaha. I died of laughter.

Just ran across this.. I'm sure some of you guys have seen it already..

*Page 5

"a mustang and a fwd car***65279; like this should not be racing its a huge diff, the mustang will have a slower take off due to the rotary engine in a wrx and fwd of the wrx, when the mustang is racing a car like this it will never be a fair chance because in the long run the torque of the mustang will kill the torque of the wrx and blow it to nothing, not a fair race for neither car, but in this one for the mustang"

*facepalm*

Oh my lord. And this is a classic example of a 'Murican Rustang owner/lover taking the time he's not spending with his incestual relationship with his cousin/animal loving relationship with his sheep.

I was running errands yesterday and was behind a school bus and all the boys ran to the back and kept staring and giving me thumbs up the whole time I was behind them. It was funny when I could tell they were discussing my car with each other.

I go over to a dorm across campus to meet with a girl and she asks:

Her: What is that big light bar thingy on top of your car?
Me: My what? I don't have a light, you mean the headlights?
Her: Nooo, that big light in front of the windshield kinda.
Me:........ uhhhh... you mean my hoodscoop?
Her: Hood scoop? What does that do?
Me: (Starts sorta explaining the intercooler process and see her glazed over eyes, so i say) it cools down stuff, that's all you need to know lol.

and yes she really did think my STi scoop was a light bar or something haha
(and i have an 04-05 front end swap with the STi hoodscoop so it really is a big "light bar thingy" hahah)

ever since then she continues to call it a roofscoop and not a hoodscoop hahah

Sherriff's deputy walks up to me at work, convo goes like this

S: Hey sir, is that your Subaru out there?
Me: Yes it is, you're not planning on giving me a ticket are you?
S: Why would I do that?
Me: ...Oh.. never mind... What's up?
S: I have a Subaru legacy and I'm actually looking for a hood, do you happen to know where I could find one?
Me: Nasioc
S: What? Nasi-what?
Me: N-A-S-I-O-C, It's an internet forum and they have a private classifieds section where members sell parts, I'm sure you'd be able to locate a hood there.
S: Ok thanks. I probably shoulnd't be telling you this, but I actually raced one that looks like yours and he only took me off the launch, we were dead even after that...Oh I just remembered, my clutch is toast, so that's why he beat me...
Me: (In disbelif that a Cop, a SHERRIFF no less telling me about a street racing story) Yeah man, that makes sense.
S: You know, I was thinking of doing a WRX engine and turbo swap, because everything else on the car is the same as the STi. Drivetrain, suspension, everything. It's a pretty cool little car.
Me: (Trying not to laugh) I'd recommend an STi swap, preferably with forged pistons, that'd be the best bet as far as power and reliability.
S: Yeah, totally agree ( It was very apparent that what I said went way over his head LOL)
Me: Well, I have to get back to work, good luck with your legacy..

This story is 100% true, I still can't believe that a sherriff told me about how he street raced his legacy against a 'car that looked like mine'.
