Anyone know if the quad tip exhaust from 12 wrx will fit on 09 impreza? Just the axle back.

With the quad tip it would literally sound like stock or quieter. If you use all the piping up to the muffler and replace it with a Magnaflow/Tsudo/etc muffler, it will be decently loud and deep (I also have UELs)

If you find out definitely share the love. Knowing the parts community though it's probably a 20$ part....

Decided to do a 2.25 straight pipe from the resonator. First impression is lower tone, louder and more drone. Definitely a loss in alittle low end torque. I'm going to either add a flow master, magnaflow or borla performance muffler to get the back pressure back.

Question is whether I should go for chambered or the turbo one.

Definitely not a glass pack Lol

I'm also thinking of selling my hybrid intake set and also the muffler delete if anyone's interested

Ouch...I'm at 47k on 08, I plan to sell end of year or so. I hope I can net more than that, or I'll have to return it to stock...

Also, depending on the year bumper you get, the rear "spats" may be on there and not look right at all with the rest of the car, unless you have the WRX sideskirts and front lip as well.

I have 2012 WRX quad tip on mine. I like it, it sounds much better than the stock whisper and to ME, it looks nice on MY car. It's this whole "you're not a WRX/STi/Widebody" stuff that's killing individuality. Not everyone shares the same opinion and not everyone who mods their car is a wannabe. I have 2.5i stickers in STi style on my fenders and hatch. I guess I'm a poser.**
You are entitled to your opinion, but don't bash people for their choices to modify their property.

Also planning to eventually put a wrx rear bumper on with dual exit exhaust. It's just the cost of paint that's a killer right now.
Sorry to hear that. I had to rip off my Home Depot "lip". It survived two winters. Definitely mastered the art of bob and weave on the Hutch, 684 and 95 now. Thank God for stiffer suspension and thicker sways, my baby stays planted.

Here go some crappy shots, sorry my car's been dirty and I've been so busy. Love the output now though. No more DRLs but who cares.

Swift springs, 1.5 fingers in back, 2 in front on summer tires, 1-1.5 fingers all around on winter tires.

OMG, quad exhaust, quad xenon retrofits, quad ricebox.

a bonus summer shot.

Did you cut your bumper to fit the tips? Any sounds clip? Btw, do u know if there's difference between 08-14 STI vs. 11-14 WRX exhausts?

I hear ya man and I see where you are coming from. I should've probably clarified that I was referring to a narrow body sedan with the quads looks stupid.

Car looks good dude. Need some bumper trim on that!

Help me diagnose where this sound is coming from...
It sounds like an exhaust leak coming from the front of the car, but it isn't. I noticed the sound after installing headers and using the supplied gaskets. I knew those were leaking so I replaced them with OEM, and the noise is still there but the new gaskets are not leaking. I could not find any other areas of the exhaust that could be leaking either (no flex joints anywhere). I cannot hear the noise idling, only when I'm in drive and accelerating is it noticeable. Here is a video, it's louder because it's bouncing of the wall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkY5KY8elE0

My friend actually has quadtips on his 08 Wrx sedan. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it. Its actually melting his bumper but he doesnt care since the Wrx is his DD/beater. Personally I dont like the look either, maybe if he cut the bumper so it would look more stock. But whatever floats his boat, sounds phenomenal though.
