Default Caliper paint removal

On my 05 STi I have 08 STi front calipers and the rears are the gold Brembo's painted black. Not sure why original owner did this but anyways, I want to remove the black paint from the rears without damaging the original gold Brembo paint and red decal that is under it. Anyone have suggestions I wild very much appreciate.
Thank you

No way that's gonna happen. You're best bet it to get them sandblasted and powdercoated whatever color you want or just repaint them yourself.

Really? I don't think it's epoxy. I think it's just black gloss spray paint.

Unless they did no prep work (sanding etc) and just spray painted over the gold you aren't going to get the black off with out causing damage to the gold under it.

FYI brake cleaner will not remove paint and paint stripper will remove both the black and the gold.

Ok. I don't think they prepped it. I can see the gold around the bolts and such.
