Thanks everyone! I really thought there would be more dislikes over the BBS wheels. Not really a fan of the gold look (I prefer the dark grey of the stock wheels), but I can live with it. I figured it was worth it to save 5-6lbs per wheel and also get some sticky tires

Other than the sticky tires, I did it for the 25-30% weight savings per wheel. The tires on there are still 235 series (just like the OEM tires), so I'm not really loosing any width to the ground.

sometimes you do lose a bit of contact patch by putting the same size tires on narrower wheels

True, but I'm sure the stickiness of the tires more than makes up for any slight difference.

Good choice for a winter wheel, 18" wheels look like crap with tiny WRX brakes anyway.

Excellent work! Gold doesn't look too bad either. Knowing you I am sure you will paint them a different color down the road to keep the nice and clean look you're going with the car. Good job man

I was thinking about going to a dark grey over the winter, or maybe next year after the tires are shot. For now I think the gold is growing on me...

I personally think the scoopless hood looks better with those wheels than the stocks. Seems to go together better for some reason.

Thanks. That might be true, but I can't really put a finger on the reason why...
