Figured, why not? Right?

Background

-Previous work in landscaping, mostly general services
-Merchandising for Pepsi Bottling Group for 3 years(also consisted of some forklift work for OT additional "odd jobs" around the warehouse)
-Part time work with Lowes throughout college.
-Currently working for a consulting engineering company in our HVAC department. I'm going onto my 3rd year

Education
-HS Diploma
-Some college at UMass Dartmouth for Mechanical Engineering w/ minor in Business Administration

Location
Currently located in Fall River, MA
Can relocate and commute within reason.

Looking for:
I would like to find a job that has much more potential for advancement/growth etc. I'd prefer something in the engineering field (preferably manufacturing based) but I'm not opposed to stepping outside my bounds a bit. I don't mind physical labor at all, a desk job is fine too. I feel as though I'm a hard worker and I could provide references upon request. I pick up on computer related items relatively quickly, I'm a mild computer hobbyist as well.

My main reason for even writing any of this is simply because, although I enjoy my job as well as the people I work with, I feel as though my current job isn't allowing me to advance/learn. I'd like to find somewhere that will allow me to finish school and possibly even help pay for it.

My company is looking for a strong senior engineer. The position will involve bug-fixing and new project work for our products which are data analysis software tools oriented around revenue assurance and fraud management (historically for telecommunications companies but branching out into other areas now). I believe Java experience is a must and probably C++ as well. Other languages like python will be a big plus.

The office is located near fort point channel between downtown and south boston. There are about 10 engineers currently working here along with a couple of QA people, some sales people, and a few others including the CEO. The rest of the company are abroad - we have an office in Stockholm and services people all over the place.

For more information or if you have any questions please send me a PM.

Thank you..... it takes time be patient it took me 2 and 1/2 months to find a job here in CT. Just keep plugging away 2-4 hours a day with a couple days off of course and something will come along. I must have applied to over 100 jobs and got 5 interviews in total.

Kinda wish we talked more than just about cars the few times we met up. I'm sorta in marketing/outreach now... but I always love to learn more on the graphic design/marketing side of the interwebs for myself...

Good luck in your search. Make lots of $$ so you can mod your car.

Understandable, I've been out of school for almost three years now. I just need to finish those last 4-5 classes. That and though I've been working as a Mechanical Engineer.... it hasn't been manufacturing based, which is really what I'd prefer to get into. Not to completely degrade my job cause I do enjoy it for the most part.

I don't know if this will work for everyone but this is the way I found my new job.

I was looking through the ads in the paper and noticed one that was in my field but I was not qualified for. So I knew they were hiring. I went on their website and they had a general area where they accepted resumes and I just sent mine. Within a week they were asking me to come in for an interview and then hired me.

This was the ad:
Substance Abuse Counselor F/T positions open in our Adult Female & Adolescent Residential Programs. BA and/or CADC (or significant progress toward) req.

The job I got is Admissions Case Manger.
