I have them to protect my paint and others windshields in CO. Really nice to have when doing mountain runs. What our local group of guys do often

dont get me wrong, i understand the purpose of a mudflap and the desire to protect paint, but to me its just one of those things that you love or hate, like a really big spoiler on your trunk.

Very functional. Especially when you live in the boonies and visit a gravel road just about everyday. They also keep my car cleaner for longer, no joke.

they're also nice for people driving behind you during heavy rain.

Also when it is raining I noticed that when I drive through a deep puddle it shoots most of the rain out and not over the windshield.

Maybe those people tend to leave the city every now and then and drive up to the mountains or something...? I live in Phoenix, but I am out of the city up north in the forests or in the mountains almost every week...

Mudflaps are very useful.

I really don't understand how/why anyone would think hellas are turbos.

You are over estimating the amount of people who know what turbos look like, or even care.

Yea, maybe.
It just seems utterly ridiculous to call them that, especially if the person knows so little about cars/turbos.

The sad thing is that my boss has an old muscle car... 450HP Pontiac GTX. He claims he does a lot of the work himself, but thinks Hellas are turbos? I wonder.

Not a question directed at me but w/e

Theres a performance shop local to me that tailors to a lot of Honda boys/that crowd but I've gone in there to buy a few things like rims/tires and shift knobs, not a bad place just bad clientele. Anyways one time my friend was in there, so a guy walked in and told the manager he needed 2 boost gauges for his twin turbo 300zx. Needless to say the manager sold him the gauges, and his stupid ass deserved to waste the money lol

Well if his boss doesn't know the difference between horns and turbos he probably doesn't know the difference between Plymouth and Pontiac.
