Default WTB - Wheels - either full set gold 17's, or 2 stock WRX wheels or advice on shopping

Hi All,

One of those wonderful days where I hit a piece of dunnage dropped from the !@#@!@ truck in front of me.

The verdict, 2 wheels are in need of repair (inner lip). I figure this will cost a minimum of $300 at Panther plus the headache of trying to repair 2 at once.....perhaps this may be an opportunity to upgrade.

I have always wanted a set of 04 STI gold rims (17's) or something with that design. I'm probably grasping at straws, but does anyone have a set that they would be willing to let go reasonably (this is an unexpected expense).

Another option could be if anyone has stock rims that they would like to unload cheap.

Or, failing that, any idea who is a good and reputable source for local purchases of new tires?

As I've got a nasty vibration, looking to sort this out quick.

Thanks for any help.

Justin

Any idea of a good web retailer? (preferably in Canada to avoid the UPS hassle)

I think Rocket Rally can get Rotas and I think Garage 5 has them also.

I've got a set of 17inch gold OZ Superleggaras I might consider selling. They've got Toyo T1S tires on them that have about one summer of tread left.

I was shopping for wheels for awhile and decided to order from the US. What I'm doing to avoid UPS is having it shipped to Point Roberts at TBS: http://www.tsbshipping.com/index.htm

That way I can take advantage of no extra charge shipping and no brokerage fees. All I have to do is go down and pick them up myself and pay duty and taxes.

Sometimes there's some good group buys/prices from the vendors here and that could be an economical option for new wheels especially with the good exchange rate right now.
