They suggested that the strut may be bent

N those purple bushings are made by SuperPro. 65bucks from IIR and w/a $15 pitman arm pullet I didn't need a press. Pretty simple once u get all Hulk on those crazy tight bolts. At least I dist break any tho
Thanks for the tip about the bushings. I had a small accident with mine years ago (slid the rear wheel sideways into a curb during a snowstorm). The body shop told me that I needed a new knuckle because it was obvious that it had been cracked in a previous accident (I'd rather not get into that one ).

Apparently, instead of fixing it, the first body shop just elongated the bolt holes on the struts, and tried to pull everything into place. No wonder my camber was always off!

Anyways, the crack followed the top seam where the hole for the axle meets with the body of the knuckle causing it to always have a lot of positive camber. None of the shops that did my alignment ever said anything, and because of that shop cutting corners, a small bump into the curb extended the crack so bad that my rear wheel ended up looking kinda like this:

.

(I know that's a Neon, but I had to share that picture.)

yeah from what ive read its probably a bent knuckle/spindle or strut. The struts are brand new so i was hoping its not that, buuuuuuut a knuckles a bit of money n i could probably just throw back on my old strut for the time being if need be...pretty sure i didn't toss em ???

What kind of struts did you get? I'm going to have to turn my WRX back into a daily driver next year, so I'm shopping for replacements.

If the current struts where not on it when the accident happened I would worry about it.
Just search the classifieds for a part out and buy that sides whole assemble ( knuckle, a-arm / the whole setup).
If the knuckle is dent there are more parts that are more than likely bent also.

So I broke the oil feed line to my turbo during the install. Its a vf39 om my 04 2.o wrx block. I'm trying to find a steel braided line fir that turbo can anyone help? I see the one from rallysport ( http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Blou...-Oil-Feed-Line) but that one says its for the Blouch turbo's. If any one has used that on a Vf series turbo let me know. I just don't wana shell out 60$ on a part that wont work. So if some one can shed some light on this ill love you forever. ?

Today, nothing. Tuesday went to IAG for the first time for maintenance. Two thumbs way up - great service, met some cool people. It was a good day off.

Haha yeah I know right. When I was talking to Mach v they said they wouldn't."custom" make one to work with my banjobolt and specific turbo. And not wanting to take the risk, I called IAG and they said they have a Vf laying arround and they could make one specificly for the vf39. Same price. So buy one that has a 50% of not fitting/working right, or pay the same for something the fit to my spesific model, yeah that got my vote.

Blouch Dom 1.5 XT-R, 10cm turbine housing, 2.4" Inlet and ID 1000's with conversion harnesses. Last week my inlet, fuel pump, AFR equipment, and spark plugs arrived.

Hopefully I'll see an intercooler tomorrow.

Single, I spent like 5 months doing my homework on all this and ended up deciding that twin scroll was silly expensive. Still haven't figured out why.

Just curious, what do you do about the relay? My first one corroded. This time I basically dipped the bastard in liquid electrical tape.

Glad to know the install shouldn't be too terrible, though I imagine when I do the turbo I'll be doing it, so crap will be torn apart anyway.

Might be in over my head, never done a turbo before. Oh well, should at least be entertaining to observe.
