BUMP. This is a much better 'beer thread'... it has more betterness and such-like.

My dad's friend recently gave me a St. Peters English Ale, ...only got one bottle, but have never seen it or heard of it. I went to the website and didn;t see the "English Ale" (as mine reads on the label). Anyone heard of it, tasted it?

also, ...the online ordering shows one bottle of ale going for 25.5 pounds, ...so that's like $30 for a bottle?

Default Divine #4

Quote:
DIVINE RESERVE NO. 4 WILL BE RELEASED STATEWIDE ON MARCH 1
We bottled the 4th batch in our Divine Reserve series this week and it will be released on March 1, which really means that stores should be getting it on March 1 and 2, although there are typically a few hiccups that are encountered with even the best of planning. Here are the tasting notes to this beer:
This is a Wee Heavy that one of our brewers has been working on for a couple of years and the final results are well worth the wait. The color is deep ruby on its way to black with bright clarity (especially considering it is unfiltered) and a thick, tan head. It has a nose of Irish coffee with hints of peat. The body is sweet and creamy - not thin, not heavy. Almost refreshing, if a beer this big can be described as such. Caramel malt, smoke, coffee and orange come in and out of focus several times as the beer moves across the palate, then it finishes with a light spiciness. We again used our St. Arnold yeast which added a nice layer of complexity to this already multifaceted beer. Enjoy at 45***176;F or warmer.

I dug out the pack of Burton Baton from my fridge that I bought back in early March tonight. Wow, it's good stuff...probably better since it's been sitting in the fridge for 6 months!
