Default Help with '01 Forester front crossmember and control arms on '95 Impreza

2001 Forester front crossmember, control arms, hubs, and uprights on my 1995 Impreza.

It all "fits" meaning it's bolted in but there is something going on with the control arm bushings. The rear ones are not happy and the car squirms all over the road on transitions and slick surfaces.

Looking at http://opposedforces.com/ I have noticed both the front and rear control arm bushings are unique to the Forester and Legacy. The actual control arm is shared between Forester, Legacy, and Impreza.

So the question is:

What control arm bushings and rear bushings mounts should I be using to make it happy?

I still have the '95 Impreza control arms laying around to compare but if anyone has an educated guess, I'd like to hear it.

I'd go with Forester specific bushings all around. Which begs the question of whether the Impreza mounts will allow those bushings in?

The stock '01 Forester stuff is what's in there now and what is causing the issues.

I don't know if I need to stay with the Forester front busing and change to Impreza rear mounts and bushings or just Impreza rear bushings in the Forester rear mount...etc...

I think I have a set of GC rear mounts kicking around. I can swing by with them in the next few days and we can find out, if you'd like.

My RS has been a tad squirmy, similar to tramlining, since I put the aluminum control arms and rear Group N mounts on it...

I wonder if our issues are similar...

Did you put new bushings in them?

I wonder how old yours are...?

Parts catalog says the front crossmembers are the same between Forester and Impreza so I think I just need to switch to Impreza bushings front and rear.

The rear mounts are different though - 20201FC100 on the Forester and 20201FA050 on the Impreza.

I don't know if I can just replace the bushing in the Forester mount with an Impreza bushing.

By rear mounts, do you mean rear control arm bushings? Are these the same thing?
