my nephew is autistic so its cool. never said it was funny.

Your answer is too basic. I actually want to know why people think painting random parts to look like cheap plastic, beyond "because its theirs and they can do what they want......."

I would appreciate all the 11+ owners not to see what they can mod for $5. this is what civic and 240 owners do. (NOT ALL, just most)

I like having the contrast in colors. I lost one of my side vents so I ordered replacements for both and liked the look of them better black on the car then the paint matched. I vinyl wrapped fog inserts and side mirrors as well based on pure preference.

Your assumption is that all of them look cheap but I don't think that's true. Oh well, everyone has their opinions.

Nobody cares about you or what you'd appreciate. There's nothing wrong with spraying something with a fully reversible paint to differ your car from others. It's not like he's installing a cheap hid kit that blinds others or cutting his springs. I plasti dipped the window trim and front grill bezel on my lexus (which was $13k more than my subaru) because I didn't like the chrome, I sold it like that for $3000 above book. Sure didnt cheapen my car. Don't be THAT guy.

For the window trim, just cover your car fairly well with newspaper and mask it off with blue painters tape. After you have the windows all covered and the body only exposing the trim, you can plasti dip it. I believe that's the best way for the window trim. I'm not so sure about the trunk unless you like that flat black look the plasti dip gives. Then you could just use that as well

People have been asking for more interior shots so here are two quick ones. The second seat is almost done at JPM Coachworks!! Can't wait to get that in.

Just to be clear, civics are currently more upscale than imprezas. Blacking out certain parts breaks up the monotony of everything being the same color. A lot of more upscale car makers use black plastic accents on their cars. Also if you get bored of plastidip it just peels off.

Is there really no good aftermarket e-brake handle for our cars? I cringe to see keeping the stock plastic one in these beautiful interiors. Although in your case, it's hard to tell in the pic, it looks like yours might be wrapped.

Beautiful interiors? Are you on drugs?

And civics more upscale? Dont necessarily disagree, but want to hear the justification.

I'm talking about the guys spending thousands of dollars on alcantara wrapped dashes, consoles, aftermarket seats, shift/ebrake boots, etc. and then leaving the stock plastic e-brake handle. There has to be a decent looking alternative.

Just noticed you didn't do your headliner yet. Dropped mine off yesterday to get the full suede interior to match my leather seats. Have you thought about finishing the pillars and the headliner? The rear c pillar was a little challenging for the installer but he got it done....just waiting on everything to dry. I like your color you chose, it reminds me of the new MB AMG45.

STI mirror swap should be done tonight. Finally getting around to making this mod happen. One of the 1st mods I was planning on doing about a year ago.

Redline motorsports makes a combo e brake, shift boot, and console wrap that can be had for around 120 bucks that are of pretty decent quality (especially for the price)

Jpm coach works makes awesome stuff too, a bit pricier though.

Hahaha well done sir! I actually chuckled out loud on this one. Our cars are a little similar I suppose. The paint I'm going with ( yeah Im doing paint also ) will be closer to the Scosche STI

With 7 silver WRX/STI's on the Subie of Las Vegas's lot I'm getting bored with the stock color.

I'm talking about the ebrake handle, not the boot.
