WTF? I've done the first one for an aerospace company in teh past.
However, this line: *Goal oriented achiever. Self-starter with strong follow-through on assigned tasks I think that's total BS. This better be a telecommuting job. |

Of course it's BS; it's a job description created by HR! What it means is: get your work done and don't surf OT. Um, err....

Would they even consider someone w/o a degree (but 13+ years full time experience)? Too often it seems employers are so caught up on a degree that they can't admit that someone w/o a degree could do the job.

I am only associated with the Johnson City facility. I don't know much about what they do at the other facilities. I do know that Nashua is huge. For some reason, I'm thinking that Chuck H works at BAE in Nashua.

There is a BAE in Reston, VA, and I believe that they do the Leadership Development Program there (I went through this in Johnson City). http://www.eis.na.baesystems.com/pla...reers/eldp.htm |

Not sure, I'm not in HR, just an engineer. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to submit a resume, and if you have been doing the tasks as described in the job postings, I don't see why you wouldn't get looked at.

We are the carousel capital of the world! Binghamton was nicknamed the “Parlor City” for its neat streets and attractive homes, including many stately mansions. Ironically, many of those stately mansions are now “funeral parlors” (i.e., funeral homes.) During the late 1800s and early 1900s, many immigrants moved to the area, finding an abundance of jobs, leading them to call it the “Valley of Opportunity.” Binghamton is noted as being the birthplace of both IBM and the Link flight simulator. Until the Cold War ended, the area never experienced an economic downfall, due in part to the generosity of employers (IBM and Endicott-Johnson) and also because of its defense-heavy industries. This concentration of the defense industry made the area the seventh most likely area in the nation for a nuclear attack during the Cold War, and the population peaked at around 85,000 in 1950. Binghamton is known as the "Carousel Capital of the World" for its collection of historic carousels located in public parks around the area. |

I just had dinner the other night with my friend, his wife, and her brother. After she got married, she moved up here and her whole family followed. They lived in Jamaica, Queens. They say it is 1000x better up here than down there. |

Yeah, because flight controls, aircraft engine controls, avionics, etc are designed and built by janitors. So what would you call people who have degrees in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science who design and build advanced electronic systems? |
