Xluben if you sell yous a crazy foo! Haha

Seriously bro, such an awesome build, and with so much money invested you may as well do the 6spd swap!!

If you really decide to sell, you should look at an auto BRZ if you're in the market for an auto. Would make a nice comfortable sporty DD

Please don't sell though, your car is a legend and doesn't deserve that

Maybe it's me, but I would be sourcing a used 5MT from Carpart.com or replace 3rd, install it, and be a little more gentle. The stock 5MT seemed to be pretty good pushing twice the power than stock.

I've been secretly waiting for this day for a long time. Now I will know what tranny he will put into his WRX! Honda Civic my ass.

It's like George Bush said, "Fool me once, shame on, shame on you. Fool me twice, you can't get fooled again."

This thread has gotten out of control! LOL. The car has been down for some time now. I didn't post anything because I had a feeling I'd get these kinds of responses, haha. Unfortunately there isn't going to be a surprise rebuild thread popping up any time soon. I do have a good feeling there will be an 07 Civic in my garage very soon Still working on what I'm going to do with the tranny issue with my WRX

Idk, unless you already know that you like 8th gen civics I would recommend something else. The old civics at least had a fun feel to them, the 8th gen is nicer I guess but its like the sucked the soul out of it. Also I hear the engines have issues with blocks cracking. Although some dude put 600k+ on one

Quick question for you! The front page says you have the whiteline 24mm sway bar in front, and 22mm in the rear. But later on in the forum I read something along the lines of you ending up with 22mm sway bars in the front and rear. I'm a bit confused. If you've had both setups, which one would you recommend? I'm staying on stock suspension as I really like a comfortable ride, but I'd like to decrease the cars body roll as much as possible. Thanks!

Damn, you make me spend too much money.

Not enough serious driving to make much of a comment. I'm no experienced driver, but I don't see why I'd want my car to push through corners any more than it already does. So, I am happy with the 22/22 setup, but the 24/22 seems to be just as popular (or more popular).
I'm sorry to hear about the transmission woes Xluben. With all the money placed in the car I'd suggest that you just invest in a 6 speed, but I can understand you wanting to just get rid of the car.

I'm sorry to quote from a bit ago, but I just put on my 24/22 setup on my STI hatch..

The car just turns in much better now. Previously I had a WL 22mm bar that wasn't sized for my car on and the car felt better but just a hair less tight in cornering. Previous to that I had on the stock 20 mm bar. Have no fear about going with the 24/22 combo. The cr feels neutral now. I'm on the stock STi suspension so while harder, isn't as hard as a coilover set up.

It would be left completely stock. Commuter car only. I'd get something else for a fun car.

Some people have a conscious....

Just like the type of person that buys a house then takes everything of value when you can't pay for the house. It's ****ed up thing to do.

Though Xublen you had to know this was coming. If I was at that power level I would be ready to do a 6 speed swap. I already have a short block for my 12 with 1,600 miles for WHEN it blows up as I don't expect warranty to cover my modded car.

If he traded it in they would just warranty repair it..they aren't going to deny themselves a repair...lol he would have to put the stock turbo back though

you do realize that most dealers wont let their salesman drive a trade in on the street right? The liability lawsuit if something should happen would be far worse then finding out the car is messed up. They state the problem with the car at auction (some auctions, not all). Im not going to get into the b.s. most customers give you but for 1 of you xluben (an honest person im assuming) their are 1,000 people bsing about their car. Hell you could even tell them the transmissions messed up and they'd say okay we are going to send the car to auction and because of that give you less money. However in reality they'll just make more money off you later then they auction off your car.

They run their businesses with the knowledge that not every car is perfect. its not a moral things its kind of like looking out for yourself when their doing the same.

Enjoyed the build. Good **** while it lasted.

And watch the trans fail again... Lol the RA gear sets are basically the same that is already in our cars, they just have that isotropic treatment, which makes them marginally stronger. Do a 6spd swap or 5spd PPG or it's not worth doing at all.
