The roofline looks a lot like the clear plastic Subaru "shell" at Geneva... at least to my eyes.

it will do well if the production car ends up like ... any of the concept models. why don't they stop ****ing around with the car and release it? I've seen three different renditions that could have done well as a production car. the longer they take to produce and develop the car, the more expensive it ends up costing, and then they miss their target audience.

Well it definitely looks like it packed on some pounds. This thing will be a failure when it finally comes out. It's what happens when you think too much on a concept.

How can you tell how much it weighs merely by looking at it?

I felt like there was so much right with the original concept; it was clean and simple. Even though we haven't seen dimensions this new one has a heavier appearance and higher beltline. The busy front and rear are starting to look a bit contrived. I long for a simple and light-weight coupe. I hope that at least one of the toyobaru twins doesn't disappoint.

You're complaining about bigger wheel wells? I don't get yall, the car is pretty close to the other concept, just the front is a little more chiseled along with the rear, perhaps the color is throwing you guys off. Weight hasn't even been announced...

The tires are narrow.. (on this concept, on Subaru's powertrain model and on the mule) which indicates that the car is very light.

I actually think it looks pretty sweet and better than the original with the new nose design but NA makes more hp hard to come by for enthusiasts. Still wish subaru would be AWD, if I had lots of money I'd do a swap.

I like the rear. Reminds me a ferrari 599xx. Front end is a bit busy, but not bad. Tires are 215, only 10 less than the tires offered on GD wrxs. NA isn't bad except for aftermarket power boosts. Let's hope it doesn't need it though.

I'm with ya' on that.

There's always a swapped Brighton

The front and rear are overdone. Rest of the car is okay but not breaking any new ground...meh

Why does everyone think there was going to be a light, AWD turbo'd version? Generally speaking, light cars don't have robust AWD systems.

I would much rather have this car be a small displacement, high revving, well balanced, RWD sports coupe.

Subaru already makes a few competent AWD turbo'd cars. Some of us even bough some.

This may be my only gripe with the car, I want to see a high red line, like 9k. That is dreaming but seriously 8k or 7.5k at least. We'll see what they can do with the Subbie motor...

I just hope they don't use open deck for the NA motor or it will be plagued with the usual head gasket problems again. I wonder what boxer sounds like at 9k RPM

I liked the first concept the best, though I understand the front was probably too low for "pedestrian crash standards".

There was some 2.5 RS on this forum making close to 300hp in NA form. There was even a video during the race, but I can't find it now.

I have a feeling the V6 or even turbo Genesis will have no problem out performing either the Subaru or Toyota.
