Headers and Pulleys.
This probably belongs in the technical or newbie forums, but I wasn't getting any answers in there. Probably because it's a lame question that everyone knows the answer to except for me
What are headers and what do they do? What are those pulleys all about that I keep seeing in magazines? I did a search, but all I could find were questions like "what is the best header?" Thanks in advance.

headder=exhaust manifold
the tube bends exactlly the same length as the other so it provide a smooth exhaust flow, therefore +hp & +torque Pulleys, a smaller dia. and lighter then the stock. it free up some hp taking by the steering, a/c, and water pump, so it increase hp. |

Actually... the Borla headers(seems to be most popular) are not equal-length. They follow the same pattern as the stock headers(which are also not equal-length), but a freer flow due to mandrel bends and larger diameter tubing. The MRT header system is equal length. Nice setup too. it's the whole exhaust system, but is incompatible w/ a turbo, so I'm not going that route. Also, if you plan on a turbo and you want the borla headers, you'll need a bracket to support the turbo. Usually, I think the turbo just rests on the stock headers.
