Just starting this off to share some pix of my new 2012 Impreza. Let's keep this going. The 2012 Impreza Thread is a big one & we've been getting away from pix.

I pre-ordered 8/25 & took delivery 12/15.

Dark Grey Metallic Premium w/ CVT PZEV
Moonroof/All Weather Package/17" Allow Wheel Package
Wheel Locks
All Weather Mats
Cargo Tray
Rear Seat Cargo Net
Rear Bumper Applique
Splash Guards (added few weeks in)

Tint to follow in March or April

A few from the truck until now...

2012 Sport 5 Speed PZEV.

The Sage Green is depicted here much more accurately than the sample on Cars101. This week I am adding Silver side molding (not available in Sage Green).

Pre-ordered 10/15/11 and picked it up 12/23/11 from Goldstein Subaru. Attempted to preorder with Carbone Subaru but they were clueless so my friend and I both bought from Goldstein and both liked the deal.

New picture with the side moldings:

Nice! I really like the Sport Premium. I think in a few years I'll replace my OBS with one. Whenever my dealer gets one in stock that isn't sold I'll be test driving.

edit: As to your silver side molding, that is correct for the Outback/Outback Sport tradition. The door molding is the color of the lower trim.

Thanks!

Sport comes in the solid colors (not the Deep Cherry or Sky Blue though) and three options of two tones (sage green and silver, sky blue and silver, black and dark gray). I just looked at the ones with black leather interior and picked my favorite outside color from there.

Looks very nice. I was wondering where you got the rear spoiler and how much did it cost?

My 5-speed Sport Premium. Never got a chance to actually take good photos of it and now it will be in the dealer for a while.

These were taken the day I picked up the car.

Nice looking imprezas, just not a fan of the 20 hp drop from the previous models. However mpg has gotten better making this a great awd commuter car. New STi should be interesting.

FYI next gen sti's and wrx's are no longer built from an impreza chassis. they are now a completely different line. the impreza wrx sti will now be just wrx sti or wrx.

More ugly interior pictures. I would say to stay away from the first-year models and pick one up after all the bugs are out. The Impreza discussion thread is filled with various complaints, Mine was a beaut for the first week, then the problems came. I didn't knock on wood every time I praised my Impreza on that threat, I didn't think I needed to as it was a Subaru; it came back and bit me.

Don't let this alarm you. Mostly people are disappointed with MPG. There are a few threads going for that. 2 people on here, MINIz guy being one of them, unfortunately are without their cars while Subaru tries to figure out the problems. MINIz has a transmission if I recall, one other had a airbag seat sensor issue.

Minor issues
- some have had moisture in the headlights which appears to be normal & clears up on its own for most.
-a cranking/starting problem for 2 I think
-moisture in the doors/window housing area
-much debate on the audio quality & quality of the OEM tires. I personally am happy with both
-debate about CVT

You have to keep in mind, only a sampling of people who have their 2012 Imprezas are actually on here. Only a few on here have the issues. I have had one minor, but that's what warranties are for. We can't really get an idea of what optimum mileage will be until we're out of winter. More often than not online is where you find complaints but not everyone looks for a forum to tell us how happy they are with the cars. There are many more out there happy than the few that are not. (MINIz guy - I really am sorry you're one of the few with the issues & that you don't have your car at the moment. Hope you get it back soon)

Overall, I love this car! Love how it drives & handles, the AWD & traction control, love the looks of it.

But this is a picture thread.... so go to News & Rumors & find 2012 Impreza Thread if you want to read the thousands & thousands of those other comments.
