So I am looking for a Cusco Front Lip for my 05 WRX and sort of stumbled onto this
I don't know if this **** is LEGIT, or if anyone ever bought it from this seller on EBAY cause this person has Calitri-Boost SICK A$$ Subie on there and other peoples Subies that I have seen on here on NASIOC so what do y'all think of this, is it LEGIT? Anyone know where I can find a good site that sells the Original Cusco Front Lip? |

here is my cusco replica. hope this helps.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1832569 i bought the first version that they made and the fitment was pretty tight. supposedly they use a new urethane now to guarantee to the fitment to be perfect. |

i dont know how well the new one is made but if you have the time to body, sand, primer, and paint the lip then it'll def save you money than buying an authentic one.

I'm planning to buy this
![]() ![]() Replica or not...I could care less. The lip is most likely gonna get damaged along the way lol. I'd rather pay $150+S/H then whatever it is for the real one ($450 or something?). In the end, no one will really know (unless you tell them of course). And I've seen it on other people's cars, looks just fine! Looks great with a wingless car too! |

their first run was paper thin and sucked. what they're advertising now is their 2nd version which is supposedly thicker and sturdier.

**** replicas, especially body part ones. And if I was Calitri-Boost, I'd be pissed they were using my car on their ad for their crappy replica part, especially since I'm sure they didn't ask his permission to use his car for their ad. Replica body parts are the biggest poseur mods you can buy. Sure, the untrained and uneducated eye might not be able to tell the difference, but those who actually know will be able to tell easily when they see it in person.
I used to have replica body parts on my car, and they were all ****ty quality and/or broke easily. Ever since I got rid of those parts, I had absolutely zero problems, and I saved money on the paint and prep costs too. You guys can flame me all you want, but I stand by this opinion and I'll gladly stay on top of my high horse. ![]() |

well i just fitted mine, no problems whatsoever. Right now is getting its paint... i guess i cannot compare prices with you guys in the US because paint jobs are expensive over there.. but they charged me 300 to do my front bumper, fit the lip and paint and wrx side skirts... all painted with PPG paint and a 2 year warranty.
i just recomend not using the included double sided tape because its crap! you guys are better off using 3M automotive grade. |

I'm in the complete opposite boat as Verdugo, I bought all authentic parts for my last car and it was a total waste of money. If you're modding your car to impress other people then go ahead and buy the real deal, if you're modding it for yourself and don't care about that stuff then save yourself some cash. Plus just because you're buying a name brand doesn't mean it won't have fitment issues and need tons of prep work, doing a little research you can find companies selling quality replica parts that will look and fit great.
I picked up the chargepseed bottomline replica kit for my 08 and it fit perfectly, I have absolutely no complaints, and a few hundred extra bucks in my wallet. I'm not saying buy the cheapest knockoffs you can find on ebay, just that not everyone cares about having name brand parts on their car and you can often find replicas that will fit just and look just a nice for a fraction of the cost. |

On the other hand, I've seen some genuine Syms, Aqua, and Liberal parts fit like total crap in the past. So really, I guess it depends on the company. After all, it's very true that even if something is expensive, it doesn't mean it's good. Plus, it's one thing if you know you're buying a replica piece and you admit that you are, but if you're buying a replica piece and trying to pass it on as the real thing, I will gladly be a snob. I also firmly believe that it's morally wrong to buy replica parts to begin with, since you're not really giving credit where it's due to the company that actually came up with the design, and instead pretty much giving the OK to a company who just wants to copy the design instead of doing something original on their own. But hey, I'm not going to win that argument since most people here on NASIOC don't really care. |

it seems like a good deal. but i think he is charging 150 for the bumper piece and then another 150 for shipping. which makes it pretty close to the price of the real thing. but it does say there is a warranty on it. so i mean if you dont want to get the real one im sure it would be fine. if it doesnt fit its under warranty, so they should fix you up. but they say perfect fit. ??? go for it.
