Agreed, back on topic. Mike will take it to PM's but as a vendor they are in good standing.

Working for a business competitor I understand you may think differently.

Not sure what your problem with Granny or Element is but Element has been a vendor for month now.
I think you need to read my question a bit better early on. I have zero against granny or the shop and I quite clearly indicated that. I know granny is a frequent visitor and a friend, it's not rocket science in knowing that, so that's why I asked him as well. He may have known of information coming soon, or element could chime in too.

It's a fairly reasonable question because all I asked was if there was any intentions of posting something up. I as well as others would like to know what the competition offers, from labor services to their parts vendor availability and any specials. This is limited market with fierce competition and as a consumer I would like more information. That's it. Obviously others would as well since they have been asking can they do this or that for a more local anchorage based shop.

So no Kiwi you didn't answer anything except come to some kind of outrageous assumption.

Let's not keep beating this dead horse. The new business is busy, I'm sure if they needed to seek out more business, they would go through with any means they have at their disposal. Give them some time to let the dust settle.

You seem to have a reading comprehension problem then or I have a communication problem.... either are possible.

Lets take this to PM's if you want to continue but keep this thread on topic

Stop being so liberal Alex! I doubt AKIC or NASIOC for that matter will ever sway from it's authoritarian-rooted ways of managing the forums. The mods hold the power and there's nothing we can do about it. I mean.. It's not like we can impeach a mod!

Well thank goodness for the rule #7 H being totally ignored by the AKIC mods.

Seriously, the truth left akic long ago.

If you are looking for unbiased, truthful reviews of local shops by people who have actually paid for work done, you are in the wrong place.

Do your own homework, don't rely on 18 year old kids and a group of yes men to give you the real low down.

This place is a hollow empty shell of what it once was.

LOL all of this because 1 person was simply curious about Element Auto posting more information about themselves in the vendor section.

I guess I will be doing some thread merging here and then taking a break from AKIC for awhile.

You know you all like to call out what we do as moderators, we try to let you all hash it out and work through the issues but you all take it personal and never work through to that point.

We see where a thread is going and try to put a stop to it and all of a sudden we are power hungry moderators.

As moderators we can not win.....

What it gets down to is this....

I like subarus, I used to like the community a lot and I really wanted it to grow it up here in Alaska and I felt that NASIOC was a great conduit for that so I volunteered to help. I have hosted meets in my personal house and my place of business.

I have a family that takes up a lot of my time, I have a time intensive job but I still get onto the forums and help. I have done this for over five years and all I get for it is a label and prejudging of who I am and what I do...

Its not fun anymore, the more vocal people in this forum (most of whom I used to call friends) are now the biggest critics....

I am taking my toys and leaving for awhile. Throws keys to Squad and Ralph
