Default Any bodys Impreza RS 99 0r higher shakes at 4k RPm for a second

When iam driving I shift at between 3.5k or 4.5 Rpm when ever it passed 4k rpm My car feels like it pause for a second. feels likes a jerk almost only at 4k rpm. I know its not the MAF because the reading i get from the SFAC is right.. And i just replaced like 4 months ago...Any body got a clue what it could be.. ???????

i had the same thing for a while...

Also, my 88 RX-7 had that, too...same RPM numbers...but that was because it would open up some secondary air intake or something like that. I don't think our cars do anything like that.

I did upgrade my plugs to Bosch platinums, and get an intake, and now I don't notice it at all....

I've had this for as long as I can remember and I always thought this was the infamous hesitation I keep hearing about. I just block it out most of the time since I havn't seen any quick fixes being discussed. If there is an easy remedy I'd love to hear about it cause it's definatly annoying. Maybe someone else can chime in here....

Same thing here... it feels like the clutch slips for a second... I have herd that new spark plugs help and wires don't hurt. alot of pople said that replacing the spark pugs totaly solved the problem... I think I will try it this weekend.
