Thank you sir! It's a Perrin. If you're considering...
Fitment was absolutely perfect. Had to trim a few things to run the piping, but nothing difficult or too serious. Finish on both the pipes and core are top notch as well. I don't feel the lag in throttle response people tend to think of when they think of front mounts, but I do feel the boost lag. About 300 rpm difference. In Tampa in the Summer my intake temps are usually 130 +-10. I've even seen it in the 160's a few times on stock top mount. It was 87 degrees today when I was test driving, about 90% humidity or something ridiculous, and the highest intake temp I saw was 99. It was usually between 95-97. I was not getting on it though. |

I like that big Perrin core, but I do not like their clockwise airflow. It doesn't make any sense to me. I guess that's how it was always done on the older models so some companies still do it that way.

I still wonder why they do that... You would think that the shorter piping would reduce boost lag. But idk. I've had a lot off good luck with every Perrin product I've purchased, and they've all been great quality. That's why I keep going back.

I'm running the Perrin Cold Air. It's much tighter than before, that's for sure. But not too bad gettin it in there. Nowwww, I do not have fog lights so I just hacked away at the surrounds so that they wouldn't get in the way of the piping at all. So I'm not sure how difficult it would be to make it fit.

And the issue isnt saving money. My payment is already low. Its reliability. Sti needs to be driven and its not bulletproof..things will eventually go wrong. Brz is na. I can do the bare minimum to get by with it Quote:

Appreciate it. It is actually an APR carpon lip. Got it from a buddy who had a little front end collision right after he put it on. His insurance covered a new one so he said if I wanted to try and fix it I could have it.
So I bought about $45 worth of fiberglass, sand paper, primer, and paint. And BAM! New APR front lip. Took about 4-5 days to fix it and get a real smooth finish on it. It was in two pieces when I got it and there were pieces missing out of both front corners. |

Not a sick picture at all, but I recently installed flaps, AVS visors, dipped the chrome window trim and opened my headlights to paint the chrome housing!
