Default Subaru Dealers Coming Up with Wrong Gasket Kit

I'm rebuilding an EJ22E (from a MY1998 Legacy L, last 8 of VIN W6307122) and ordered and overhaul gasket kit, which comes up as part number 10105AA200 (I confirmed this part number with a different dealer). The kit had an exhaust gasket for the dual port heads when mine are single, and some grommets I didn't recognize.

Has this happened to anyone else, and what else might be different? I think I'll just wind up ordering the exhaust gaskets if that's all I wind up needing, but I'm concerned there may be other differences.

If you've got an idea I hate to rush you, but this is time sensitive!

Thanks!

You will have to order the newer style EJ22 exh. gaskets. Now is the time to find a pair of dual port EJ22 heads so you can bolt up an aftermarket exhaust, if you choose to, down the road. But if you just want to get the car back on the road, exh. gaskets are cheaper than a set of heads, especially if you just plan this car to be a stock daily driver.

I just want to get it on the road. My main concern is differences in the head gasket, if there are any.

I don't know about the difference in heads but I do know there is a guy on the RS25 forums that is making single port headers? Might be worth looking into if you plan on modding in the future.
