Door dings or not, you should still clay bar your car once a year.

Agreeded! Clay bar once a year, polish every 6 months(light compound in certain areas if needed), and wax every 2-3 months or use a wash/wax regularly...

That's been my routine since I started driving and its held up great on new paint and old paint to restore it and keep it nice

I wash and spray wax once a week, usually on Friday just before I cruise around all weekend. It just reminds me how much I need to get my act together and fix it before I go for a respray. I almost get depressed when I do detail it and spot all the defects. It drives me insane

Yesterday... I installed the Cobb Accessport on my 2012 STI (sedan). I went with the Stage1 91 octane just to be safe. What a big difference!!! This is how the car should be stock
In fact it feels really similar to how the 2005 my younger brother had..

Just talked with one of my friends from over seas.

He got into a wicked bad accident not to long ago. He limped away, not in the best condition mind you, but he's still alive.

I thank subaru for having as high safety standards they do.

Me too, I'm pretty sure if he were in anything other than a subaru the ending to his story wouldn't have been so happy.

Nice Steve, I noticed you registered for the race as a wrx the other day.

Forgot to add yesterday, I got the car inspected and I fixed my intake box. It is sealed better and I made the ram air effective again. Now I have two different places it gets cooler air from. I def noticed a difference in throttle response, the wife could even tell as well.

Should be at a minimum getting the car up on jackstands so I can work on installing my Killer B pickup tomorrow. Crossing fingers the pan doesn't take as long to remove as it did on my previous STI.

Also should be making some cash that I'll use to buy more parts after doing a couple fender rolls this weekend. Just need to pick up some Group-n rear tops to complete my coilover setup.

Working on the oil pickup now. Also planning on cleaning the wheels good and doing a coat of opticoat to seal them up and make all future cleans a piece of cake.
