Default Draining the oil to the oil filler ?

Do you think it would be ok to drain the oil from the turbo to the oil filler where the valve cover is? My turbo is pretty high on my conversion and might be easier for plumbing and have it drain to the oil filler rather than the oil pan.

Are you swapping an EJ engine into your VW? I don't have an answer, but curious. I would think the only real concern though would be the o-ring on the filler neck possibly leaking, but the returned oil is not pressurized, only hot.

Not the best idea. People were trying to do this on miata's a while back when I was working on turbo charging them. Not sure how people were securing them, but there were a few cases of the hose working free.

Just curious, why do you not want to tap the pan?

If I did it to the filler I'd be using one of these to the side of it.
