Thumbs up Painted Bumper Vents

Used flat black bumper and trim paint from advance auto parts... I am pleased

I sanded the orange paint a little with 500 grit paper before painting... put about 8 coats on before getting all of the orange nooks and crannys...

Yup, I did that as well after having my car about a week. I think that the orange they use is tacky as hell to begin with, PLUS it has no function being orange. Black they went and they don't bother me being orange anymore.

Looks like you did a good job. Aaron and I did that too. We painted ours silver to match our cars. We have pics with them installed here:

BTW, I found the easiest way to get them off was to take a smallish allen key and put it through and turn it 90° and then pull them out like that. It doesn't damage anything except maybe a tiny indentation on the backside if you're really tugging to get it out... no big deal at all.

I have a Ridge Blue Pearl RS, and I was wondering what the best color to paint mine. I wasn't sure if black would look the best just because. Leme know-

I have mine painted BRP as well..and now the front end seems to "meld" in a lot better. It looks absolutely mean now with the clear turn signal which I have "on loan"...hehe..but yea, BRP on the vents are a good choice

I also painted mine (Silver MY00). I think it will make the car look a lot cleaner, and esp. after I get clear lamps up front. I used model enamel to paint mine. Mix Silver-Gloss and Steel-Flat together until you get the right color. Mine dried a little bit lighter, so be careful. You can't really tell the color difference unless you stoop down and really look at them. Also, consider using an airbrush... it paints MUCH better than spary cans will.
