Default Hub centric ring, needed?

I just bought a new set of wheels and they came with hub centric rings. Do I need to install these with the wheels? I've never used them on any other car includin my 02 WRX.

Is the center bore correct? If not...then yes, you need to use the rings.

You can technically get away with out them...however, you better be darn sure that the wheel fits snugly on your hub when you torque it down. Some are more "generic" in application and they might not sit entirely flush against the hub without the rings.

Providing the rings fit the hub correctly, use them!

Take a ring and make sure it fits over the hub with little play. If so, insert them into the hub opening on the back of the wheel. The purpose of these is to distribute the load between the lugs and the hub.

FWIW, my Oz Ultraleggeras came with rings and I use them.
