Dan,
Hold me 2 sets. I tried to get friday but your site was down.

FWIW
Subaru rep who specs car for Canada got info from FHI that the stock injectors were 534cc. This as it turns out to be false?

APS gets 480cc from them.

I wondering if Canada got larger 534cc for the cold. I don't think so. I will have the stock injectors flow tested soon from this guy.

Sorry about the site being down. It's back up now. THe STI injectors are maxed out on the stock turbo with bolt ons. I'm running 100% on the stock units with stage 2 package. I'm sure they will not be enough with PE turbo. The PE's are not excatly plug and play unless you buy them from me of course (we dremel them out to make them plug and play).

We dremel the plastic top in certain places to make the stock ring fit over it and the plug fit. My new turbo kit will offer the injectors as an option.

also, do you think it would be worth it to send the turbo out to deadbolt for a little port and polish job?

I'm making over 400 HP with stock turbo and stock cat back exhaust and have no boost creep problems. Not sure if porting it is worth it. YOu can do it yourself or your local place can do it for maybe an hour's worth of labor.

that is nice!!! i wanted to have around 420 crank hp. not sacrifice too much low end, want more high end and want to utilize most of the stock parts as possible. and no front mount ic, i just want it to that sleeper look.

so i was thinking turbo upgrade, header (maxim), engine management, dp, exhaust, boost controller, intake, and lots of tuning

You are kinda over-simplifying it. If you plan on just doing an hours worth of smoothing on the thing, you are wasting your time. If you really get into heavy work on the inside of it you can actually get some nice results, however, just like with a set of heads, if you just go grinding around in there without really knowing what you are doing you might actually cause yourself power loss, worse spoolup, or even make the wastegate not seal properly.

Porting is a lot more than just a dremel tool and some grinding stones, at least when done correctly it is. When we started doing our Monster TD04, we went through a total of 20 different port styles before coming up with one that we thought was the best. We did a couple by special request of the owners of the turbo that came up with pitiful results.

If you plan on just doing a little smoothing here and there I would advise you not to do it, you will see very little, if any results from that. If you want a real port, such as what we call "Monster Porting" I would encourage you to have a professional do it. It's real hard to put material BACK into the flange after you have removed it.

Just food for thought.
