Default help! primed car over too much.

Okay, so my car is running rich and I tried cranking the car over a couple times and it didnt turn over.

Is there a way for me to get most of the gasoline out?

Any tricks?

I can push start it but its way too slippery to push it with the snow.

let it sit a few hrs sometimes that works or remove plugs and ignition fuse and crank it over and it will blow everything out then try it if you can't wait.

Hi!

Yes I checked plug 1 and it was covered with gas. Which one is the ignition fuse? Is it under inside the driver seat?

Ok. I just undid the plug on the FP.

What are the procedures now? Just put the plugs back in and keep starting it?

sorry typing fast, find out where your fuel pump fuses are from the factory service manual ,it could be linked to the ignition fuse but I don't think so.Pull out the spark plugs then as there is gas in the cylinders per say.Once all the plugs are all out and fuses for the pump turn the car over more than a few times to wash out/blow out the gas filled cylinders. Then reinstall new gapped plugs to spec or reinstall your old ones if not all fouled up if you can burn the gas off with a lighter. Then reinstall the coils and harness and fuses and hopefully its starts without pumping the gas first,if not try half throttle hopefully it works out bud.

Can u prime the car too much? I usually, especially on cold mornings, would pull the ignition fuse the step on clutch and turn the key as if i was gonna normally start it. I do this to get things a lil lubricated on cold mornings. Im using 15w40 btw..

Seems kind of ridiculous to go to those lengths to keep it lubricated with thicker oil. Switch it in the winter, maybe?

But priming it shouldn't hurt, it'll just drain your battery and put more strain on your starter.

Ohhh. I am using VR1 (20w-50) suggested by the guy who built my motor. I'm guessing I just need to find the ignition fuse next time huh?

and if the idiot who build your motor to the wrong specs for a street motor thinks it needs 20w50....its because he dont know what he is doing building a motor

20w50 is RACE engine oil...not street engine oil

FYI, if you have the throttle down at 100% while cranking, it cuts fuel and you can achieve the same effect without bothering to pull the ignition fuse.
(and not dumping a bunch of fuel into the cylinder without starting... unless you're also pulling the fuel pump relay)

pulling the IGN fuse disables the injectors
