The warning sticker says to not open or close it above 80km/h but I've gone faster, usually when I am closing it and not opening it.

I really need to get one of those vents. I would have gotten it done when it was in the body shop but I am going to black out my interior and when I have it all apart I will have the vent installed.

I just need to figure out what to use to black out the grey inside the car. Not sure if I want to paint or wrap.

As a force of habit I don't open it past 40mph you can cruise down the highwa no problem it slightly effects handling due to its air brake nature.

Mine is now painted black to match my headliner.

What did you use on your headliner and your interior?

I think I may go the paint route as I really don't want to break the bank. I pretty much did that with all the body work.

I have a spare pillar that I will use and practice on to see how it looks before I start on the actual car pieces.

For your analysis and comparison to Autoprue's future pictures, in figuring out how you want to approach this -- I used duplicolor vinyl dye on the headliner and plastidip on the pillars. "In real life" without a flash, the pillars do not look glossy like in these pictures, as we all know what plastidip is like.

I headliner took about three solid coats of vinyl dye.

I am considering, in the future, flocking the dash at a minimum, and POSSIBLY flocking the A/B/C pillars. Def the easiest route to go if you want suede.

Is flocking a complicated process?

The flocking kit (look at the link I provided a few posts up) is pretty simple - but a two person process to do right. Here are two DIY links:

You have to take the dash out. remove everything from the dash. if you already bought the flocking kit, close off an area where you will flock the dash. this stuff gets everywhere and can be messy. you spread th glue on the dash. this must be done quickly because the glue dries in 15 minutes. the more flocking you put on the dash, the better. if you think you have enough on, put more on. let it cure for 24 hours and put it back on. clean off the access flock before reinstalling the dash. i think this is more time consuming then labor intensive.

In yo picture it looks more flat black did you paint it? Because in the picture on JNA it looks shinny? Next on my list is the Prodrive lip! Are your foglights cover jdm? I'm looking to get some because the usdm ones are blah but I saw some on here that were all white letters not the pink STi.

Answers:

I did not paint the JNA lip flat black, it is unpainted.

The solid foglight covers are indeed the JDM STi solid covers.
