What is the history or the oil cooler? Unless it came off a motor that had bearing issues I feel you guys are really overthinking this. If it was removed from a healthy motor, capped and shipped out, you should not be worried about a thing but I would still have it cleaned.

Due diligence will be my friend here. I know its a risk. But if the cooler comes in dirty then I'll keep the plate lines and mounting tabs and send the cooler core back and get money back. At that point I can buy a new cooler for not much. And I know most of the time coolers are sold after epic failure of bearings.

Well all I got oil cooler in last night it looks as advertised and I popped off the caps the inside looked clean. Going to attempt to do a home test today, but got a lot to get done today.
Clint front TiC emailed me the other day my destroke pistons and rods for the next build will be here Monday For the next 3 months progress will be slow if non existent, as I have joined the police force and go to the academy Sunday morning! So I better see some finished builds by the time I get back! Sent from my XT1254 using NASIOC mobile app |

Got back this weekend and going back tonight but I got the rods and pistons in and man are they sexy.
I hit up fobiawrx about his fog light mounted turbo kit. Pricing is pretty legit, much cheaper than getting the whole manifold from full race. Only thing I need is a oil pan sump and lines for that setup. I'm super interested in doing it. However I don't know about the street ability with that setup. I know no driving in the rain which is fine, but does anyone know how reliable the whole setup would be for a DD and not just a drag car? Anyways here's the pics of the destroke stuff that will be for the next built motor. Warning Pornographic images! Sent from my XT1254 using NASIOC mobile app |

Didn't really bother to go through your whole thread, but I think you coulda saved some of your problems on this build. E85 is for the burds IMO.
New OEM block, 6-puck clutch, 1000cc injectors, pop in some better pistons like Manley drop-ins(2618)etc, P&L rotated kit(GTX30R or 35R) and BOOYAH! At least 500whp. These 2.5's are in the danger-zone reliability-wise once you start messing with 500+whp. Just my opinion. Good luck either way my neighbor |

I know this beast is going to be on borrowed time which is all good by me. And at the power I'm shooting for I'd snap the stock rods lol. Originally I'd speced out the P&L rotated kit and the rest of the package, I'm very impressed with the EFR offerings so that's why I went this direction instead. AND anyone who knows me, easy isn't an option for me, I have to go the path of most resistance lol Sent from my XT1254 using NASIOC mobile app |

Borg Warner Turbo is the truth so no short-comings there***8230; Sometimes the path of most resistance will give you a bump on your ego- But that builds character. In the NYC fire department going the path of least resistance gets the job done in a safe manner and quicker at times Once again good luck Last edited by BraveSTi; 01-26-2015 at 09:06 PM. |

So I'm tearing all the extra crap off my heads to send them out to get reworked and I came across this piece on the right side head, it seems to be pressed in? Its an oil drain line but does anyone know if you can actually remove it or should I leave it attached and ship.

Its pressed in. I took my heads to the shop with it left in. They had no issues with it.

So found a good deal on a set of w25 heads that have some BC stage 3 cams and springs in them with stock valves. Anyone know how going to those huge cams over GSC 272's will affect the low and mid range in terms of drivability and will it kill spool much? Also how high can you rev the stock valves with upgraded springs? I'm wanting 8k redline

I have stock valves with 70lb single springs and have 7500 as my redline, head guru said 8K shouldn't be a problem, just had no reason to going that high with the peewee turbo I had at the time....dats changed doh with the GTX35 Last edited by ALOKIN; 04-07-2015 at 10:08 PM. |

How's the GTX35 treating you? I keep staring at my efr7670 on the shelf and drooling... Now that I am home I have time to dedicate to the build, waiting on P&L to get my block done still... |

I did more searching and didn't find anyone with great things to say about the BC cams unless they REALLY liked cam lope, which I don't want, gotta make it stealthy so s2's will be going in still lol...
In other news the full race EFR kit is inbound! Now just to wait for the s2's to get in stock so Outfront can do my heads and Phil finishes my fuel rails and lines! So close to POWA! Last edited by Razgeiz; 04-09-2015 at 10:03 PM. |

So been looking at where I should put the AIT sensor, should I put it on the pipe on the left green dot or on the right green dot for the best readings?

If it was me I would put it on the opposite side of the pipe as the left green mark just after the bend is completed. But it shouldn't have any measurable difference between those two locations.

Probably the better idea in terms of creating turbulence right before the TB now that I think of it
